Norb and Jess are always super helpful and remember your name. Good customer service and great cambria quartz countertop selection.

I purchased a 4 * 8 sheet of plywood and asked that it be cut in half.

The cut was lousy and pathetic.

Plus they charge for taking credit cards 3% .  Not fatal but their markup could have easily taken care of that.

They had what I was looking for except for service.

Went to Modern builders to get some information, material list and a quote for a deck resurface.  I took with me a rough sketch with my numbers and spoke with Charlie. Charlie knows his stuff.  He told me he would draw up a diagram to scale with a list of materials, a day and a half later I was emailed an awesome diagram to scale with the quote.  I can't say enough about the custo er service, and competitive prices.

My first visit there, but not my last. I was surprised at how much they have on display in their showroom. They had exactly what I needed, and the big box stores did not. Friendly and helpful service to boot.

Modern Builders does sell high quality materials and has a knowledgeable staff. My issue with them is they may go though and explain the best way to do a project but they will not always recommend someone who is not knowledgeable and does not read and follow the manufactures instructions. Instead Modern recommendations come from who spends the most money, not who is the best craftsman. I have made Instagram posts and videos from the job sites of their recommended builders and tagged the manufactures of the products they used. I have gotten several DMs from the manufactures, architects, and even an editor of Fine Homebuilding saying the flashing were installed incorrectly to missed steps which voided warranties or would lead to expensive repairs down the road. We need to recommend builders and subs that are looking to keep craftsmanship alive and they should strive to create higher performing homes that last instead of the ones that spend the most money. Long Live our Homes.

Delivered my trim, very friendly, good quality material. Was able to order the same stuff the big box stores never seem to have in stock

I worked with Norb at Modern Builders when i renovated my kitchen. He helped me pick up new cabinets and found the best layout for my kitchen.   Everything went really smoothly and Norb was always available for questions.

Great local building supplies, very helpful staff. They helped us choose items for our house, and the yard staff helped load our van and trailer

Very knowledgeable and helpful. Prices are very competitive even compared to the big box store nearby.
