  Hired this company to replace my roof after the hurricane in September 2018. I had numerous issues with the owner, Jerry, trying to charge me for services that were not completed. A little over a year later and there are a line of shingles coming off my roof. I have contacted this company 13 times, to date, and the issue has still not been resolved. I've been stood up by the contractors 6 times. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY even if your insurance is paying. The owner, who lauds himself a preacher is shady. My next move is contacting the BBB and the attorney general's office.

  Jerry L. Edge is the owner of Tarheel Builders. He is an unlicensed contractor and very unprofessional. My sunroom project was a disaster! I have evidence of an illegal contract but at this point Im just trying to mitigate my losses. Please do your research before hiring him. Could be a coincidence but there is a Licensed contractor by the same name in the Greenville area.

  Dont use. Used savings to redo vinyl siding, doors, carport posts, windows, etc and Jerry, who identifies himself as a preacher, installed used doors with numerous old holes drilled in them instead of brand new doors as per contract and cost. Upon inspection on final day of work, I noticed this and brought it to his attention and he became furious. Told him he had the right one! I told him I would call LOWES to get me a quote to replace doors and he could deduct that price from his bottom line and remaining payment. I picked up the phone and stopped payment on a check for $$$$ which infuriated him. I told him he was a dishonest contractor and will be paid when all work is corrected. He later installed new doors. I trusted him and he lied. Retired Army officer and single lady!!
