  I am highly disappointed with PROTECH roofing. Very unprofessional and unreliable. When Cindy initially came to give us a quote for a new fortified roof, I was impressed with her knowledge. Shortly after we committed to her installing our new roof, the communication became very sparse. On the day that she was supposed to start our roof, she called saying she couldn’t get the shingle color that we wanted because of supply issues. I had given her that color more than a month before the start date but I was very understanding and responded within minutes of a color that would work. I didn’t love it, but it would be okay, I didn’t want to hold up the project, however I believe she could’ve communicated and gave me a better notice. We were replacing our roof because it was older, but it had never had any roof leaks. Within days of having the new roof installed we started having roof leaks, I would call and text Cindy to let her know, sometimes she would respond but not regularly. She would say she was coming to take a look and figure out why it was leaking and wouldn’t show up. Majority of the time, she would ignore us and not respond at all. Within the last couple months, the roof has started leaking even worse and is ruining our ceilings, a wall & countertop. There’s been days, weeks and months without responses or communication. Our insurance company said came out to look and said it was the poorest quality fortified roof installation they’ve ever seen. We’ve been patient with PROTECH and have since hired another reliable contractor to fix their poor-quality work. When you spend over $10,000 on a new roof, you don’t expect to end up with a leaking roof and then we had to pay out of our own pocket more than $3,000 to fix the problems that Cindy created. Yes, the poor-quality work is irritating, but what is worse than her work is how many times she lied to us and just flat out didn’t respond or communicate with us. I am not normally one to complain or write a bad review even if I have a bad experience, but I would hate for anyone else to end up in the same situation that we are in. If you are looking for a professional, reliable and honest roofing company in Brunswick County, I would HIGHLY recommend Willis Construction. I promise you won’t be disappointed in them.

  So sorry for your problems with your skylights but your leaks were coming from skylights That Protech Roofing didn’t install . No one can warranty products or work they didn’t do. But in efforts to make my Smith happy I purchased skylight out of my own pocket that had to be ordered and was scheduled to install the skylights that would have been free to MsSmith (that I paid for out of my pocket ) but Ms Smith refused .because it took one more day to come in to supply company than planned. I went out many times and checked roof for leaks when I was called and confirmed with Ms Smith each time that leaks were coming from work that we didn’t do . I told Ms Smith leaks were from seal that had dry rotted around skylight glass ( which Protech didn’t install) . The roof was inspected by a certified inspector assigned to the job by the insurance company who was there during installation and who approved installation. As far as not getting material and not being able to get the shingle you wanted all material are hard to get and Blue shingles are almost impossible to get . Also several members of my family /company were stuck in Mexico with no internet service and little to no phone service it took a few day to get a phone line set up and left message on voicemail recording explaining and giving numbers to call if any one needed anything no one managing those lines received message a from Ms Smith during this time no phone call ,no emails ,no messenger messages. We are a family owned and run business and with the loss of co owner my husband everyone needed a min to compose their self after being thur a horrific ordeal. So yes I may have took a day or two to get a response during that time but I went out and responded to all call before that.

  Much like the other reviews here. Very Dissappointed. Protech Roofing was hired to replace a asphalt roof. They were paid in full and now we can not get a call back after multiple phone calls and emails to resolve the issue. Be cautious on the quality and workmanship. Make sure you know what is expected to be completed. The following were my issues. 1) Contractor did not install the drip edge properly. 2) Standard roof vents were used for the bathroom (no flapper valve or connection for house exhaust). 3) Contractor returned to the site one day later and picked up the extra bundles of shingles). 4) Contractor removed some of the owners equipment. I'm sure it was a mistake and could easily be resolved but they will not return my call or emails. Protech was contacted via email, text and phone calls about the discrepancy, I have not received a response but they were quick to return a quote on additional work we want to have performed. Tailgate Warranty.. I can not recommend this contractor.

  Protech roofing was amazing to work with. The owner was very polite, accommodated our hectic schedule. She assisted with all the insurance requirements and with the claim. Crew was AMAZING. Showed up on time and worked as a team to get the job completed and cleaned up every scrap of debris. HIGHLY recommend!!
