  My sisters and I were in the process of selling our elderly parents home and we ran into all kinds of little issues through some water damage that occurred while they were abroad. Our Insurance Company requested estimates and Paul Davis of Columbia provided the quote that was to be used. We had a sense of urgency and they were able to fit us into their busy schedule so we could proceed with the closing on the date needed. Thank you to your friendly staff, your promptness and your caring and proficient job. My family appreciates you!

  WARNING--Do not use Paul Davis Lexington SC!!!! Our house had water damage and 2 & a half years later it's still not finished!!! Poor communication, poor organization, poor follow-through on behalf of Paul Davis owner has caused nightmares and undue stress. In addition, they have exceptionally high turn-over of employees (we had 4 different project managers). They never call you back with updates, they don't keep their word with contractors, they loose documents, and don't keep to their word on completion dates (for example we are still waiting for our home to be completed 2 and a half years later after they told our mortgage company, our insurance company, and us they would be completed in a year). Another example, they've been painting our house for over 8 months and it's still not finished. In addition, items have gone missing from having so many different people coming and going into our home. We had to get corporate office involved numerous times to help resolve matters--which are still not solved. Meetings take place with contractors on site and decisions made with Paul Davis owner and project manager, only to turn around and Paul Davis do something else which always went wrong and had to be re-done. It pains us we have to write such a bad review, but the pain we have gone through this entire ordeal is not something we wish on anyone else. Horrible experience--highly recommend ANYONE else but them to work on your home.

  Dear Mr. Hurtado, We understand and empathize with your frustration. Likewise, we too are frustrated with the slow process of completing this job. A lot of the delays are because we were trying to help you get the most benefit out of this insurance claim. You requested many changes to the original scope of work and we allowed you to take monies from one area and apply it to upgrades in another area. It became difficult to explain this to you by phone because restoration is very different from remodeling. This was a restoration project and NOT a remodeling project. Then, your original adjuster left their company, which also caused some delay. The physical distance also played a part in this as you are physically located on the West Coast and your secondary home is located on the East coast as are we. The items that you mention that have gone missing have all been replaced with equal or better than the original. These missing items were thrown out as part of the mitigation process due to workers thinking that these items were damaged and considered non salvageable. Anything that we lost or damaged, we replaced with new. It is unfortunate for all involved that this has taken place. We hope to finalize with your current adjuster soon. The house has been move in ready for some time. We are sorry that you think that we were in any way unethical or not transparent. That was never our intent. We learn from these experiences and always strive to do better with future customers.

  Tenant had small kitchen stove fire. In my absence, Roger's Property Management had Paul Davis Restoration clean up, repair and restore cabinets,above stove fan-vent,ceiling,cabinets & kitchen walls were painted white (on my request). Several photos were sent to show me work was completed (within a few months). RPM handled it all for me so check with them for more info, if needed.I'm satisfied.
