  We have a very old roof that started leaking from all the monsoon rain. We got quotes from five different roofers for a replacement. Modern Desert Roofing was right in the middle price-wise, but I was impressed by their very detailed proposal. They could tell the roof needed a lot of work, but it would be hard to know for certain until they stripped off the old shingles. They gave us a breakdown of different scenarios and the cost of extra materials. We ultimately decided to go with them because of the obvious care they used in providing such a thorough proposal. That attention to detail was present throughout every stage of their work. The crew was friendly, communicative, and did beautiful work. They were very gracious after a slight mix-up in communication (the proposal included removal of two old swamp coolers but they thought it was only one and had already moved on from removal to prepping the underlay). The crew promptly worked to remove the additional cooler without complaint and continued the job. They kept the area tidy as they worked and we were happy to have a completely new roof in less than a week. It started raining the day after they finished and the roof held up great. As expected, they did end up needing to use more materials than quoted (we had SO MUCH rotten wood that needed to be replaced). The office was very apologetic because they said they pride themselves on staying as close to the initial quote as possible, so they opted not to charge for some of the additional work they did on replacing rafters/bird stops. I told them I was happy to pay for all of the work they did and they still refused to charge me for it. It's such a gem to find kind, honest, quality companies to work with. This was an outstanding experience all around. I would not hesitate to recommend Modern Desert Roofing.

  Over a 10-week period, Modern Desert Roofing participated with 8 other other firms in providing initial and and final bids. They took the time to explain how they were going to repair our 19 year old tile roof, the materials they were suggesting and how long it would take. Their priced proposal was completed, included photographs of critical roof areas and a detailed explaination of what the repair work included. We had a small section of flat roof that also needed re-coating. The crew was on time, professional, knowledgeable and very pleasnat to work with. They were efficient and cleaned up completely as they went along. I would recommend them to any homeowner in the Tucson area that needs a roof repaired or replaced

  The owner Mr. Cruz was easily accessible for any questions. All pricing was upfront and transparent. The quote was very reasonable for the roof repair and replacement. When the house was built in 2001, the builders saved by spacing the tiles too far apart. The roof was replaced to code and over 150 additional tiles needed to be added. Time was taken to match the new tiles to the current usable tiles. Very happy with the results. This was a roof repair/replacement. The house is in Tucson but I currently live in Georgia. Communication was very good between the company, my renters and myself. This is my forever home for when I can come back to Tucson and I am grateful that this roof should last for years to come.
