Exactly the service we wanted. Clearly said what they would do and did what they said. Really appreciated the quality and work they did. We had both traditional shingle roof and a metal roof installed on the porch. House has never looked better. Was really nice that we only had to deal with one company for the entire project, they worked within our budget and provided great options to get what we wanted. They are not a storm chaser type company that is trying to rush and finish a job in day and then run away. Have not had any issues but if we did, we are very comfortable that with one call it would be addressed. Very pleased with the small skilled and pleasant crew. Never any push back and always polite and respectful. Highly recommend them.

Mr. Brougham called for an evaluation and quote at my request from an online ad. He came on time and was professional but, very congenial. James seemed more like a friend from high school, than a stranger. He was very up front and straight forward. James brought in samples to show the difference in the actual shingles. We chose the upgraded shingle as they were twice the weight and more than twice the glue and nailing strip area. The crew came in a day late due to the weather and James kept me apprised of all changes. The crew did a great job. We didn't interact much, but they were polite and always working while here. They were a little slower than what I had heard from other estimates but, it was because they took their time to do it right. I couldn't have asked for a better crew. I'll definitely give James a holler if I need any other work done on the house.

I’m updating my previous review. Mr. Brougham installed a metal roof on our house 2 years ago. It leaked twice a few months after installation, and he came to fix the problem. Because of these leaks on a brand new roof, we had a licensed roofing inspector examine the roof. He advised that it should be removed and predicted that further damage would occur within a few years as the product and installation were of poor quality as you can see from the pictures. The roofing inspector’s prediction was accurate! Ugghh! We had the Metal Roof NC installed roof replaced a few days ago. You can see in the picture extensive water damage to the roof deck – it leaked that bad. That’s just one area. Only 2 years and significant damage! I learned too late that the product warranty (that does not match the contract I signed) only covers the paint on the panels, not the panels themselves. _______________________________________________________ Hiring James Brougham, Everlast Improvements, dba Metal Roof NC, to replace our roof was the WORST decision. First, my signed contract states a product warranty of: “Lifetime, Limited Warranty, transferable, Non-prorated for materials BY manufacturer," but the agricultural grade(AG) panels installed only have a warranty of 40 yrs, for just the PAINT! When Florence struck I didn't know the specifics of metal panels. If a business website & FB page says "Interlock" it's fair for laypeople to think that's what the sales person is talking about. The metal estimate was $1600 > than shingles, but I believed his spiel that spending extra $ now meant "never re-roof again." He even wrote the estimate on an Interlock card! Note: Metal Roof NC FB page didn't mention AG panels until 04/19. Our contract also included installing a sun tunnel (provided by me), replacing/adding vents for toilet fans. We spent several weeks w/ sun tunnel domes “secured” (yes, ONE did LEAKED) by underlayment & tape because the workers couldn’t figure out how to install them. The vent cap pictured was installed by James. A few days later in the bathroom cold water dropped on my head from a leak in my brand new roof. Later when we referred to a Baker Roofing inspection about the sun tunnels being installed incorrectly, James blamed us b/c WE bought them, even though he, the so-called "roofing professional" installed them. Listen, if I hire an electrician to install a fixture I purchase, but it's the wrong wattage, I expect them to TELL ME, not go ahead and install it. > $7000 investment, no warranty on the panels w/2 leaks before it was 1 month old? We did hire a licensed roofing contractor to inspect his work. The Baker Roofing inspector spent ~1 hr ON the roof & ANSWERING questions, followed up with a written report of his findings. A brand new metal roof installed so poorly that they recommended replacing it. We sent James a copy & a letter asking him to honor the advertising for the product whose warranty is on our SIGNED contract. In response he scheduled an inspection from Triad Corrugated, w/ <24 hrs of notice. Neither of them would answer my wife's questions about the install. They were at my house for ~20 min., but they did not get on the roof (we asked for proof of insurance, he didn't show any), or even use binoculars. Mr. Brougham insisted via email that Triad approved the installation, but I can't speak to that being true. Despite *repeated* requests he’s never provided me written documentation from Triad. Months of him evading direct questions, and finally his best offer proposed replacing the panels affected by the vents & attempting to make the screws as square as possible. He doesn’t acknowledge ALL the other wrongness. We rejected this "offer" & a lawyer sent a letter that stated, among other things that they had “...installed the AG panel roof in a workmanlike manner pursuant to the Sales Agreement and pursuant to Triad Corrugated Metal, Inc.’s guidelines as well as Metal Roof NC’s long experience installing metal roofs.”
