The window installers were very friendly and efficient and got everything done within two days. We had 14 windows replaced as you can see in pictures they were not standard sizes. This is the second time we have used Mad City and highly recommended them to everyone.

We had a tub to shower conversion installed. We can not say enough about our brand new shower from Mad City!! Every time we take a shower in it, we feel like we are in a 5 star hotel. Ronnie and Levi, our installers, deserve 5 stars and a case. It was such a pleasure dealing with total professionals. They were on time, and started immediately. and when the job was completed (with the exception of the new shower) you could not even tell they were here. On Thanksgiving, we showed our family and friends our new shower. It became a conversation piece at dinner. We can honestly say, this Thanksgiving, we are truly thankful that we had professionals like Ronnie, Levi, and Mad City, install our shower, and we look forward to doing future home improvement projects with Mad City.

I stopped at a booth in the mall and asked if Mad City could replace my existing fixed white windows with muntins with windows with a black frame and no muntins and was told that could be done. The woman gave me two coupons to get the best price and called the main office to schedule me for an estimate. I was told I was "in luck" because someone was finishing a job near my home and could stop over the next day. I assumed it would only take 20 minutes, but they said to plan on 60 - 90 minutes. I responded that I work from home and will only have one hour before I need to join a conference call. Twenty minutes after the scheduled appointment time, nobody had shown up so I called to reschedule. While I was on the phone, my doorbell rang and it was the sales person apologizing because his drive from a city 100 miles away took longer than expected. In other words, he didn't just finish up a job nearby (in fact, as a sales rep, he probably didn't work jobs at all). I invited him in, explained that I had to prepare for a conference call in about a half hour, and directed him to the windows I wanted an estimate on. I stated that I just wanted to replace just the 12 identical windows in that room, and that I would like the replacements to have black frames, no muntins, and for the outer two on the bottom to be operable. He asked where we could sit down to discuss what I was looking for. Although I had just told him exactly what I wanted, we sat down at my kitchen table where he proceeded to go into a sales presentation, ask me irrelevant questions, and have me watch company videos from his laptop while he did other things and eventually measured my windows. At this point, I was already frustrated. I can appreciate learning a few details about the company and product, but I don't need multiple presentations of customer testimonials and explanations about how windows are built (I work for a commercial window company, I know how windows are built). To add to my frustration, he told me they don't make windows with black interior frames (I would have to paint the vinyl), and he tried to convince me that I should have double hung windows installed on all windows, including those where the bottom of the window is more than 8 feet off the ground. He claimed that double hung windows are more efficient and less expensive than fixed (picture) windows because they are made with two smaller pieces of glass. However, double hung windows have more frame materials as well as moveable parts, they aren't cheaper than a same sized picture window anywhere else. I was already out of time when he tried to present me with the quote. He wanted me to guess the amount - I added 50% to a quote I had gotten a few years ago and threw out the number. He laughed, and informed me that his estimate (which, allegedly, was far better than any savings from the coupons I have been given) was double the number I had guessed. In fact, his number was equal to what I had been quoted to replace every window in my house a few years back, not just those in one room. Of course, at this point I was late for my call and just wanted him to leave. I was given a business card with a single dollar figure it, but no details on the price quoted (I actually think he handed me a more detailed quote, which I set down by the door as I showed him out, then came back into my house and retrieved it as it was gone after I finished my conference call). For fun, I had one of my colleagues quote commercial windows for my room and they came in at more than $30k less (plus installation) - but since I have no quote details, I have no idea how much of the quote from Mad City was actual windows vs installation labor. That night, my son asked me if was I buying a timeshare. He had overheard part of the Mad City sales pitch and that is what it reminded him of. I had to agree.
