  When i initially had Louis over for an estimate, i thought he was really knowledgeable and he communicated with me about what could be done, Took pictures and measurements and everything and I was impressed because other people that had come over to do estimates one didn’t say anything to me the other one didn’t know what he was doing he was afraid to take down the wall. I had a wall knocked down to make one big room, the finish on the wall was not that great. The drywall guy was sloppy, did not come prepared, asked me for a broom to use, got mud on the carpet, didn’t lay anything down to cover the floor, didn’t take light switch covers off before mudding the wall i took them off for him. He didn’t sand the wall to even somewhat match the rest of the wall or blend the new mudding with existing wall i sanded. There were spots where there were not enough mud on the wall and metal was still showing through. I added more plaster to cover those spots and blend seams. He used my new granite counter and dryer to set his dirty plaster tools on. When the drywall guy left, older man in his 70’s probably, i go to shut the garage and he is picking up my mailbox off the ground. Instead of backing up to give himself enough room To leave he continued to go forward not having enough clearance and hit my mailbox. I asked if he could not send that drywall guy back to my house for the second part of the job after all that happened and he said “he’s one of our best guys hard workers are hard to find” and I felt I was being dismissed. My mom said that she spoke with Louis and requested a certain type of flooring since the flooring he said he was going to use for our project got used for something else was wasn’t saved for us, and she said he made it seem like she didn’t know what she was talking about. She said she felt as through he Was getting sarcastic and talking down to her with her through text, she said it just seemed like he didn’t want to do what she wanted. He tried to get me to change her mind about what she wanted. I also politely asked if when he installed the doors i had if he could make sure the tile was covered so mud/plaster didn’t get on the new tile. Instead of just saying ok since it was my new home i was concerned about after the last mudding job his drywall guy did, (he brought the same drywall guy back to the job ignoring my request but he said “don’t worry I’ll be there”) he said “i know, this isn’t my first rodeo” well then why didn’t his drywall guy lay anything when he mudded? The new door to be installed was nicked a bit and he tried blaming it on my cats until i pointed out that it was at the top of the door and obviously my cats cannot get up there. There are a couple spots on the door that look like plastered finger spots that need to be sanded so it’s all smooth. And scratched walls through the hallway they went in and out of with tools and drywall. Louis’s work was good and he was clean, but Glad the job is done.
