  Mike was quick to respond and help solve a roof repair issue needed to close on a house purchase. He came out on short notice to take care of the issue and resolved it in a timely manner. I would recommend and use his service again in the future.

  My review from six years ago is below. Six years later and I am finding several places where the sheathing is falling apart. Either their work is shoty or the just put shingles over open holes in my sheathing. It's worth noting, this place does give you a $100 break on your bill if you leave a five star google review. I really wish I could leave one as well. My entire roof was removed on a saturday when a big florida storm was predicted the next morning. I expressed concern, but i was assured everything would be "water tight". The next morning, my bathroom was totally drenched on the floor. The carpet in my daughters bedroom was totally soaked. To top it off the ceiling in my bedroom had water stains from one side to the other. To this companies credit they said they would clean my carpet and paint my ceiling. Not until we were more stern and said we were concerned about moisture in our walls did they owner get involved. They pulled back the carpet and removed the wet padding and removed all the wet insulation. Im an understanding guy but whole ordeal was a nightmare. The guys they sent out broke my bathroom tile left a huge mess of chipped paint in my bathroom. When they pulled out the baseboard they left finishing nails on the floor for my two year old to find. I was so frustated by the whole thing that when i discovered my closet was wet as well. I pulled out the carpet myself. I left a message with the owner about the additional leakage discovery and never got a call back. It destroyed picture frames I was storing in the closet. My daughters did not sleep in her own bed for three days because of the pulled back capret . I had to make arangements for her to stay somewhere else because i had to move the crib and the mildew smell was so bad. Missed two days of work to allow the repairs to be done during week day. You think with with this massive inconvience I would have got a break on the bill. No such luck. I was charged full price for additional wood that was not in origional quote. Which is fine but was told that if new wood damage was found we "work with you" on pricd.I had to walk around the house and show them where the soffit and facia was not nailed back. Still waiting for the second inspection from the county. The first one did not pass. I really could go on and on. Perhaps im the exception here and it just my luck. But If you hire these guys keep an eye on the weather.

  Mike came out promptly, was super nice and inspected my roof, which had developed a leak. Afterwards, he told me the repair I needed was something I could easily do myself since I already had my own ladder set up, and he even e-mailed me a description of what to do along with a product he recommends for the job. It isn't often that people go out of their way to be helpful to you when they're not making money from you. Next time I need a repair or a new roof - I'm calling Fortress again. Thank you guys for great service!
