We were so thankful for Kevin, our project manager, and the entire team at Firstcall.   We had a remodel with our kitchen and Kevin partnered with us every step. FIrstcall provided the best subcontractors for each trade.  So thankful for Kevin, his experience and knowledge on our project.  Given the industries material / labor  shortages/ and delays Kevin kept us in the loop with the communication throughout the process every step of the way.

Referred to FirstCall by insurance after sump pump failure caused basement to flood.  The guys at FirstCall did a great job of getting out to my house, helping me understand options and working with the flooring company to upgrade from Carpet to vinyl plank. Mike Kinder, my project manager, was great to work with and the painters and floor installers were prompt and professional. While I never want my basement to flood, I would have no hesitation using FirstCall on future remodel work.

Everyone we worked with at First Call was top notch. They were friendly and professional. Communication was great, even after hours. They did a great job working with our insurance company and coordinating the repairs. We added additional work to be completed on top of what was covered by insurance and Jennifer, our project manager, coordinated the job seamlessly. We also knew how much everything was going to cost and the change orders were timely so we always knew where we stood.

All the subs they used were awesome including the painters, plumber, electrician and trim carpenters.

Everything turned out great. I only wish I would have known about them before now.

After the Cedar Rapids Derecho, I was struggling to find a construction company to repair the storm damage on my house/garage.  My insurance company recommended FIRSTCALL and set up a meeting.  They did a great job of communicating when and how the work would be done.  They used one crew for the roofing and another for the siding.  Both teams were respectful and considerate.  My FIRSTCALL Project Manager, David, made regular visits during the construction and ensured everything was up to par.  David did a great job tidying up any issues I had and made it clear that my satisfaction was priority #1.  I have no problem recommending FIRSTCALL for your construction / repair needs.

Our insurance company recommended First Call to us after we discovered frozen pipe damage. From the initial cleanup to having everything fixed and back the way it was, we couldn't be happier.

I can’t speak highly enough about our experience with First Call! We worked with John Holman as our project manager. He is definitely one of the best, and made a stressful situation much easier for us! Most of the staff  were professional, Skilled, responsive, accommodating and timely. Never having gone through anything like this before, they patiently guided us through the process, answered our many questions thoroughly, and listen carefully to our wishes and preferences.

Damage to your home is never fun, but First Call handled the mitigation of the water damage we received from our dishwasher wonderfully. Greg and Logan were personable from the get-go, put our minds at ease that things would and could get fixed, relieving a lot of the stress we had from dealing with the damage.

On day 1 as Logan was setting up to dry the area, he explained everything thoroughly and made sure we understood what they were doing, how things were going to be done, and next steps. He planned two more follow-ups to check on the damaged area. I appreciated the phone call giving us a heads up on arrival, but not necessary, as he showed up on time and on schedule.

Logan was beyond professional and made sure not to disturb us, even when having to rip out our floor for the drying process. Everything that had to be taken out of cabinets and moved around were put back in its place. You don't get that a lot, and the extra respect to our home was much appreciated.

After the Dericho I suffered severe damage to my two and one half story house here in Shellsburg, Iowa.  I contacted several places and I received no offers to reside my house so I relayed this information to my adjuster with Nationwide Insurance.  He told me that he had good luck with Firstcall Restoration and they did respond and came and gave me and Nationwide an appraisal which was accepted.  David Herr came with his crew and started to reside the house and just finished up this week and did an outstanding job.  Although there were a few days that were too cold or had snow the crew made the most of those days in which they were able to work and even worked after dark with lights on their helmets to be able to finish the job in a reasonable time.  I did not have to interject as David knew what the job was to be and they went ahead an did it to perfection.  This was not their first rodeo and when you have  a crew that knows what they are doing you just need to sit back and watch the progress.  I would hire David Herr and his crew in a heartbeat as you will e well satisfied. I think the contractors I contacted wanted to do the easier ranch style homes as older two and half story houses are more labor intensive but Firstcall Restoration did not hesitate in giving me an estimate as they wanted the job and that speaks volumes

I had water damage in my Livingroom, from Hail damage on the roof. I started calling people for repairs. Out of 20+ I got 4 estimates.  First Call was one of them. I am so happy I chose First Call.  I was very pleased with the response time and the communication with this company. Robert Bell got me the estimate then introduced me to John Holman who took on the project. He communicated about the time and days people are coming to do certain jobs.  I can not believe how many people he has to juggle. But he is AWESOME.  I am a Realtor and this is company is one I will be referring my clients to as well.  I know they do a fabulous job. & they are very understanding with your time.
