After contacting Hanson's in order to have gutter guards installed I was met by Chaz Johnson who was very professional and informative. After reviewing the product and going over the quote with him I decided to have the gutter guards installed and a portion of gutter and down spout over my garage replaced. The process was easy and my gutters look great. Would highly recommend to anyone.

I had hansons out to give an estimate about a year ago. After weeks of looking around for product we felt that hansons offered the best product to price ratio therefor we decided to partner with them and are very happy with the products. I wanted to wait to write a review to see if the products held up and performed as advertised. We ordered a roof, siding and windows. The windows are amazing and open very easily and tilt in for cleaning which I enjoy. Between the siding and windows our energy bill has reduced incredibly. We highly recommend hansons due to their product and the professionalism from their installers.

JC and his crew installed new vinyl on our 52 year old house in 2.5 days  an. They were on time and started working the minute they got here. The house looks like a new home.

Windows 6 out of 7 were installed today.  One window and a piece of trim was missed in shipping from manufacturer.  Called customer service, they reordered and will reschedule to finish, everything is crazy busy in construction right now so its easily forgiven. Very impressed with the windows and crew that installed today.
Husband and wife team here today were extremely efficient and clean,  all they left behind was the new windows.  Little things like that seem so simple but are often overlooked. Siding is in production so I'll update after everything is finished.  Update  9/15/21. Siding finished today.  Looks awesome!  Wife and I are very happy and kind of relieved that everything is done.

I called them for an estimate on a new roof. It was my first time having to replace a roof. The quick response was nice. Their rep came out and did his thing. I rec'd estimate by email that evening.

The estimate was an email containing about three sentences. It used jargon terms including the cryptic "Hansonsguard" and the unfamiliar term "750 can vents."  The estimate did not include any mention of cleanup/disposal of debris. It did not specify if the new shingles would be installed over the existing ones or if the old shingles would be removed. It did not mention new flashing or resealing around the chimney or plumbing stack vent.  Overall, it was a rather non-professional job of providing an estimate. It was far below the level of detail and professionalism I would expect from a contracting company.

I had questions, so tried to reply to the email. The message bounced saying that I was not an authorized sender. After some manipulation of my email settings, I was able to send email to the rep who had written the estimate. I asked my questions and the rep responded to about half of my questions.

In those things that he did answer, he did not explain the 750 can vents term. He said that on my roof he would use ridge venting.  Other company's estimates included replacing the existing box vents with new vents of the same type in the same places.  Was this company going to re-engineer my roof's venting system by patching holes from the existing vents and then cutting new holes for different vents? (Adding unnecessary expense to my pocketbook of course.)

Hansonsguard was explained as an underlayment membrane that would be installed under the shingles.  This explanation shouldn't have been necessary.  The estimate should have used layman's language instead of company jargon.

The next day I rec'd a text from a different person at the company asking me to call him. I tried to reply by text. This failed saying that it was an unmonitored account. I gave up and called. The other rep offered me a discount on the work. This brought the estimate down to just over double the other estimates I had gotten.

I asked them to redo the estimate using asphalt shingles instead of the more expensive class 4 impact resistant ones used for the original estimate. (I wasn't asking for anything strange or exotic. Just the standard product that an average roofing job would use.) The company declined to use the type of shingle I wanted even though it is what my insurance will pay for while the significantly extra cost of the impact resistant ones would be out of my pocket.

Obviously, this company does not meet the professional standards I expected nor those of the other companies who provided estimates to me for the job. Those estimates were professional, detailed, AND they were for the product that I desired and required.)

I declined to consider them for this job and will not consider them for any other job in the future.  I hope others had a more satisfying experience.

Clyde, our sincere apologies you have not had a positive experience. We have escalated to management to review and address your concerns.

Among other problems, their installers left TWENTY-THREE NAILS sticking out of the interior oak trim around a single patio door.  I learned what their "guarantee" means after I spent two days trying to get them to come back to fix it and they ignored me.

Those of us who have ever been tasked with the thankless job of recessing nails learn pretty quickly that there is a trick to it.  And that trick is to know how to use a nailgun properly so that you don't end up with protruding nails in the first place!

I spent the extra money on a "guaranteed" product/installation precisely because I wanted to avoid this kind of hassle and aggravation.

Working with Chaz Johnson to purchase my new gutters was a joy. Chaz is very professional and explained everything very well with no high pressure sales techniques.  The crew arrived on time and my gutters look wonderful!  The pricing was fair and the quality was excellent. It has been six months and I just had Chaz out again to order gutter guards.  Another great experience. Thanks Hansons!

UPDATE:  4/7/2021

I’m updating our review again. Someone higher up stepped in. Learned that there were problems in the line of communication and they are being addressed.

Tech came out today and took care of the original issues from installation. Figured out what the problem was with some windows not closing and will be back to fix those.

The tech that came out was awesome (you know who you are)! Please do whatever you can to hang on to this guy!

I’m adjusting our original review. Was great through window installation. Some minor parts where missing, but told they would be ordered and put in place. That was in Oct 2020. Have been told about 10x ‘Will take care of that and ordering parts now). Still waiting. In Dec had ice buildup inside where windows meet (double hung). Came out in Jan. Again told the original issue of missing parts would be ordered and weather stripping would be replaced. It is now 3/30/2021. No call backs from numerous calls, no response on service request re above. Did 2 more service requests today for a window that won’t close all the way and a release latch that was installed backwards and won’t release. We replaced everyone of our windows (31 total). Hefty bill! And this is the aftercare. Almost 6 months since windows installed and still no placement of missing parts from installation. If 1-800-Hanson’s decides to do right, I will adjust my review again.

I needed all new windows in my 100+ year old home. My first contact with 1800 Hanson’s was Chaz. He spent 3 hours with me that first night going over everything. I had questions during the installation process and I turned to Chaz again . My issues were handled quickly and efficiently. Everyone I’ve dealt with in the Hanson family has been nothing but  professional. I love my new windows! I highly recommend 1800 Hanson’s.

Windows are nice. Installation leaves alot to be desired. Damage was done to my wall and trim work. No offer to repair and no response from Hanson other than to collect balance.
