I have used disaster restoration for several different things. They sheetrocked my stairway to the basement, carpeted my stairs, painted and installed a hand rail. They were very professional. I was very impressed that they covered all of my stuff before they started sanding etc. Another time I had them clean my carpets. I noticed a few spots that didn't come quite clean . They came right back to try to get them out. They did a great job! I would highly recommend Disaster Restoration.

DO NOT HIRE THIS COMPANY! Terrible communication, unethical and completely misleading. We hired Disaster Restoration after our inspector informed us of a possible mold issue in our crawlspace. This was all related to a smell we had in our cabin and these crooks informed us that the smell was all related to the mold issue and charged us $10K for mitigation. We were promised the smell would be removed, the mold would be eliminated and we would be in good standing for future mold issues. Unfortunately, once they were paid for the services, the true unethical character of this company came out. First, they would not return any phone messages for WEEKS and once we finally would get a hold of the administrative staff they would tell us the Brooke, BIGGEST CROOK OF THE BUNCH, was always too busy and unable to discuss the results of the mitigation process. You would think a custom that spend $10K would warrant reasonable communication on the issues in one's cabin. How far from the truth that could be. Second, we entered our cabin after the mitigation process was completed and found white residue all over our cabin (i.e. TV, couch, tables, etc.) that was never properly cleaned up and the smell was worse than ever. Third, this is where the unethical behavior become most apparent. Remember, the primary reason we hired this company was to eliminate the smell, which was promised would be resolved. However, once they cashed their check and removed their equipment, they were once again unable to be contacted and would not return any phone messages. We called multiple times per week and constant responses from the completely unhelpful administrative staff was Brooke would return our call, but it NEVER happened. After spending $10K, we had a worse problem then at the beginning and had no information on the status of our cabin. We had to go as far as CONTACTING OUR LAWYER to see what options we had knowing they basically stole our money, did not produce anything promised and then did not communicate at all with us. Fourth, we finally received our post-mitigation report, which informed us that there were all these other reasons for the smell that was unrelated to mold and COMPLETELY contradictory to what they informed us at the beginning. None of this was a focus prior to mold mitigation and it was all about the need for the mitigation, but a completely different story after they got paid. Finally, Brooke informed us that they would work with us due to the amount of money we spent and the terrible experience we had undergone. However, instead of following through with a reasonable gesture to be true to their word, they left us with no phone call, but an email simply saying basically we are not going to follow through with their word and showing how unethical of a company the truly are. AGAIN, they will tell you everything you want to hear at the beginning, but you will find their true character will come out once they provide their extremely overpriced services. Biggest mistake ever made was hiring this company. OVER PRICED, HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE AND NOT TRUE TO THEIR WORD. Go buy KILZ Primer and save yourself thousands of dollars. Brooke and Justin can not be trusted and please do not make the same mistake we did.

I'm not sure if there has been a change in management with this company as of late or what, but we were very disappointed in their work. Based on prior reviews this looked like a good company to work with, but my husband and I had a terrible experience. They did not follow through on what they promised to complete, cost a lot of money, bad customer service and poor communication. We would never use them again and would encourage anyone reading this review to go with any other company. If you do work with them, I would stay away from Brooke or Justin.
