  I was very disappointed by this company. We are running a local fundraiser for an elderly woman whose husband was recently struck and killed by a train a few weeks ago in Bristol. I’ve contacted numerous local companies in the area who was more than willing to help out with any kind of donation to Help improve the home of this widow. Due to the unfortunate event of her losing her husband the family allowed her to move into a abandon property which was totally destroyed and mutilated by animals. The lady was rude I’m very unprofessional. It was nice to see that other businesses in Bristol was nice enough to help supportOne of their own Response to the owner It was the lack empathy and response of your employe that earn you that 1 star review. I do apologize to the women that answered the phone if we bothered or inconvenience her. Small business are greatly appreciated and any help. Sorry that our fundraiser does not meet your company standards. Me myself as a small business owner understands that it may be hard to donate to every cause. What I have trouble with is the reaction of the staff member who answered the phone. No person should ever feel a shame and belittle for needing help. It’s reactions like that Discouraged people from reaching out to the community during trouble times.

  We feel sorry for the loss of this lady's husband but we are disappointed in your 1 star review. We would hope you will take this review down since we did nothing aside from tell you something you didn't want to hear. It is not fair that any small businesses gets a bad review due to their ability to donate to a cause and we get many of them all year round. Many of our donations are already earmarked for employee and customer fund raisers. Regardless if you think a business should donate to your cause, we are the ones that have to decide where our moneys go to. Sorry that you were upset at us when we told you "No". We hope the woman's situation improves.

  We had a pretty big project to replace the 29 year-old builder grade windows and doors in our home. We got estimates from two big box stores, a local company that specializes in replacement windows and CBM. The big box stores and the local company had an estimator come out to measure and provide a quote. The big box stores used the “sale ends in a week” gimmick to close the sale and ultimately left me feeling like I was buying a used car, while the local company was came back with the highest estimate. We wanted to support a local, small, family-owned business and reached out to Angelo at CBM who put us in contact with Tim who specializes in their window and door sales. Tim was awesome. Rather than a sales pitch, Tim asked questions that helped narrow the scope to the best windows and doors for our needs. Unfortunately, they do not install, but Tim recommended a contractor that he has known for many years. The contractor came and measured himself, which was great because he was the one ultimately doing the work. We are so happy that we went with CBM!! Tim was great to work with and treated us like we were his only customer, not a number as the Big Box stores did. And the big bonus was that the price for BETTER grade windows and doors came out to be slightly less than the other three estimates. CBM has made a customer for life. Thanks Angelo and Tim!!

  We got everything we needed for our project at Construction Building Materials - lumber, windows, trim, everything. They were awesome from the second we stepped into the store to the drivers who delivered the materials to us. I have worked with other companies in the past, but I was so impressed with the selection and and the service that I will be using them again.
