Would not recommend, would not hire again. Not impressed. Workmanship was…. Not the best. Shotty communication. Blame game. You name it. I’ve been dealing with a leak from a new roof they installed 2 months ago. When first addressed with them there was much hesitancy from them. They finally came out after I asked another company to come out to look in which they found no step flashing where the roofline meets. They’re blaming ice damming and saying it’s an act of god and my homeowner insurance will cover the interior damage. If this was the case, why would they and I quote from the owner “ I’m trying to be nice and help you with this issue” And do a fix on their own dime instead of going through insurance then? Makes you wonder? What are you hiding that you don’t want to go through your insurance if it was a so called act of god? Hire at your own risk. Maybe I’ll edit this or take down once their new “repair”proves to hold up… until then, I have quite the headache to deal with from their workmanship to clean up. *Editing to add to your response, I had ice like this last year with no leaks on an old roof with rotten plywood. How does a new roof with new plywood leak like this? And I didn’t treat your employees in any way except frustration from lack of communication *

Kelsey, The "leak" you are referring to was from extensive ice dams on your home. This was not a result of flashing or workmanship issues. Ice dams are caused by lack of insulation and ventilation. However, I did send my guys out to your home today (at no charge) to try and help you in your time of need. I'm sure your insurance company will explain to you what causes ice dams when they do an inspection. You really should have someone come out and remove the ice from the front of your home or you will continue having leaks in the future. Make sure to have someone use steam and do not forcibly remove the ice because it may cause damage to your roof. Please also make sure to treat your insurance representative better than you treated my employees.

Carter installed a new roof on our home in October 2021--the cost was fine and quality seemed good. In January 2022 we noticed the roof fascia started peeling, and we let our project manager Jim know via text, which he ignored. By the next weekend it had peeled to the point that it was loudly banging into the house in the wind, so I called Carter's main office three days in a row, and was told by their receptionist each time that Jim would call me back, which he never did. I ended up paying $300 to another company to perform the repair on Carter's poor workmanship. Whether this should have been covered under warranty (given the age of the roof I'd expect it to be) or not is a different question, I just found this approach unacceptably unprofessional.

Hi Kyle, I just wanted to clarify that we replaced the ROOF on your home and your issue is a SIDING issue. The picture you provided shows a small section of aluminum fascia that was damaged due to the recent wind storms. This has NOTHING to do with the roof or the Lifetime Warranty of your roof. Jim spoke to your wife on 12/27 and let her know that we are extremely busy dealing with a high volume of "wind damage" calls and we would contact you when things slowed down. At that time we would have been more than happy to provide you with an estimate to repair your storm damage...... We value all our customers and we generally would have helped you at no charge even though this had nothing to do with the roof replacement.

We tapped Carters to install new gutters last year after we had a metal roof installed. The project became a bit of a cluster due to the roof being installed incorrectly by another company but Carters was awesome- worked with us for a few months trying to find an outside the box solution as well as attempting to work with the other roofing company. In the end, we had to have our roof re-installed by the other company and carters was able to work within that schedule to get the new gutters on. Highly recommend them after the whole experience- and wish we had gone with them for our roof, not just gutters!
