  2/24/22 update: The building has begun! We are grateful for the regular photo updates and phone calls to keep us up to date on our home build. Now that the house is taking shape I can truly appreciate how much care and work went into the site preparations. The trees frame our home beautifully. I couldn't ask for more. Brown Haven has turned vacant land into our dream homesite. Our home looks fantastic. We are so pleased with the progress. We can't wait to visit next month. This IS the company if you want a professional team to build your home. From our first contact with Kelsie Bell we were drawn in by the level of detail and personal care provided to us by Brown Haven! Even though we weren't ready to build, Kelsie stayed in touch with us and answered all of our questions. Eventually Kelsie handed our plans over to the Dawsonville office when we decided on our home's location. Dustin is the best! He answers every call, text, and email promptly. He makes our concerns his priority and he found answers to every question we had, and we had several! The Dawsonville team helped us choose the best property and location for our home. Elizabeth guided us through the design process and we know our home is going to be not only custom built and well designed, it is going to be beautiful inside and out. Thank you, Allen, Brian, Kristy, Dustin, Elizabeth and all the Brown Haven Homes staff for making our dream a reality. Can't wait for the CO!

  I wish I could leave a "No Star" rating. The people at Brown Haven Homes especially the Dawsonville office are the most unprofessional and incompetent people that I have ever worked with. Their customer service and people skills are atrocious. They will tell you one thing and will do another. They are the worst in regards to following up with people in terms of updates. I had to reach out to them majority of the time to get information from them in terms of what direction we were to proceed in. The manager had to constantly ask the sale agent did you call certain clients. This was a bad sign. They could not even look at a piece of property and advise me correctly as to what will be best house to place on the property. When the guys including the builder, Brian, showed up to do the site preparation evaluation, they did not even have the common courtesy as to how to greet a person. They were totally unprepared and had no clue as to what the building requirements were for that community. It was obvious that they were there to just check box off and move on. They were totally fixated on what they could not do. Some people in life seize the challenges and are willing to see what could be done to successfully achieve the goal. These people did not appear to have that ability. When I communicated to the store manager, Allen Dickey, about my experience with his builders and how I did not feel comfortable nor confident in his builder's ability, he took the path of least resistance and said it was not a good fit. The people at Brown Haven Homes lure people in with the message that they can build affordable homes and gives off a fake illusion that they care about building your dream home. But I am hear to tell you that my experience was the total opposite and do not fall for the hype. When I contacted the Brown Haven Homes office in a different location to ask to speak to the owner of this company, they tried to block me and refused to give me his contact information. I would not dare do business with Brown Haven Homes nor would I recommend anyone to use this company. They are not worth your time nor your money!!! I was just fortunate to find out upfront about their integrity and the way in which they do business. They think because they are a huge company that they can simply disregard the type of customer service that they provide. Time will definitely tell. I was fortunate enough to find someone who was willing to do the job and would be a great asset to me than this company could ever dream of. I just wanted the public to beware of Brown Haven Homes!!!

  Building our forever home with Brown Haven has been an incredible experience! We started this process on a Saturday morning with Abbey in the Dawsonville office with no lot and no experience with “building our own home”. Our prior homes were built in big subdivisions with spec home builders. We wanted something different for our forever home, and we got it! Once we found our lot, the Brown Haven team checked it out for us to make sure it would fit lot needs. Then, Dustin helped us choose the perfect plan and even switched out the master bathroom with another plan to make it perfect for us. He and Abbey answered endless questions. Dustin gave us the best advice when we were struggling on the size of the house - to build the home WE wanted and not add extra space for “a few weekends a year”. He was right, and we’re grateful for his honesty and good advice. The team has exceeded our timeline expectations and walked us through any changes. Our design studio experience with Elizabeth and the whole team was fantastic! She helped us through a process that could have been overwhelming, and it’s exciting to se those choices come to life in our home. Our project manager, Joe, is wonderful. He keeps us updated, answers our questions, and has been quick to correct any issues we’ve come across. Our home will be completed soon. We feel confident we will look back on 2021 (we didn’t even have land to build on in January) and know that we made the best decision by choosing Brown Haven!
