  If you are considering doing business with Bolt, do yourself a favor and save yourself a headache. They replaced roof in June 2020. Firstly, Their salesman was unprepared and made up a charge for a “ hand load fee” of 400$ while sitting in my living room. Furthermore, his workers applied new shingles over the rotting wood on my rear porch. In July this was corrected, only for us to discover the new decking was in no way supported due to their faulty installation. At this point, I have been waiting nearly three months for them to repair their poor craftsmanship. After speaking with John today, apparently my roof repair is “ out of their control “ and obviously not a priority.

  I put in an estimate request with Bolt and had estimator and salesman Nick Daugherty arrive on time the next day. I had a gutter that had come unattached from the house on one end, and a downspout that had also detached, as well as some concerns about the overall state of my gutters. Nick is a go-getter hard worker who saw that my necessary fixes were simple and just needed some know-how, and he reattached my gutter and downspout in minutes. He also did a comprehensive assessment of my property, getting up on the roof and examining every draining pathway. At the end, he concluded that everything I had was in good shape and did not really need any expensive repairs. His thoroughness and honesty have created a loyal customer.

  I had my roof installed by BOLT Construction in October 2017. Recently I found a leak on the ceiling in my closet. I contacted BOLT approx. 2 weeks ago. The St Louis office manager Page was very kind and quickly passed me on to the Field Manager John Hartwig. Unfortunately, this gentleman did not bother to call me at all so I had to call Page back again last Friday 2/26. Page then connected me directly to John, and John said he would need to look at his contractors' schedules and would call me back with an appointment. Again, he did not bother to call me back. So today Thursday 3/4 I had to call Page again and she tracked John down for me. He said he will get someone to call me for an inspection later. I am crossing my fingers! I am so disappointed with John's irresponsiveness. I told him that when BOLT installed the roof and siding on my house in 2017, I quickly signed a check of over $30K to pay for their work. I am expecting the same response when I have a leaking roof due to their workmanship.
