I have nothing but positive things to say about my roof replacement with this company .Excellent service , courtesy, professionalism ( from the office , owner, and tradesmen) and timing . The tradesmen worked vigorously no matter the outside frigid temps and the owner stayed in contact throughout the entire job.This was my first experience having to replace a roof due to damage from previous storms and I was very nervous at first. I was referred by another professional in the construction business and without any doubts, they earned my trust. I stayed home to ensure any doubts or issues I could think of . I found that everyone involved at the job site were very , courteous, professional , able to work around any issues , and I am relieved and very confident of the final project! Well done!! My roof looks better than it have ever seen it!!

I would highly recommend this company for the great work, quality and outstanding service they provided for my family and I. The crew was kind and respectful, and did a great job cleaning up afterward as well. What started out as a new porch roof project, turned into a new metal roof for the entire home. I was extremely impressed with the finished product, and cannot thank them enough! Before and After photos attached.

This will be an honest review of Blue Ridge Roofing & Home Improvement. I hired them to replace the shingles on my roof. The job took almost 3 weeks to finish. Some of that was due to the lead man being bitten by my dog on the first evening. Before he was bitten, I finished mowing my yard to discover that they had tied my dog to a tree. Let me say that my dog had never bitten anyone and I asked if they wanted me to put the dog inside and I was told no. I think the dog wanted to play as she always grabs my hands when I am wearing gloves and the man panicked and was bitten in the shuffle. When I got to the man, my dog was laying calmly on the ground, not struggling or growling. Her hackles were not raised. My dog is a German Shepherd. At his request, I took him to the emergency room. No stitches were required. Over the next 3 weeks, he was on the job site on and off. On multiple days he was there in the morning, and then left after about half a day. When he left, I had no way to communicate with his crew as they only spoke Spanish and I did not. When he left, that left one man on the roof and another fetching and toting and generally helping out. They parked their vehicles in my yard without asking permission. At one point there were 4 vehicles parked in my yard. Once they left their lunch trash by the driveway. Cleaning up after them, I found an empty bottle of Modelo beer tossed in the bushes. By the way, neither my wife or I drink. They spun a large rut in the driveway with one of their trucks. They didn’t bother to repair the damage. They broke one of the “scallops” off of the facia with their ladder. They did not repair the damage. They left a hole at the chimney edge where a couple of damaged boards were removed. I had to point out the hole to them in order for it to be covered. They left a screw container on top of a window air conditioner on the second floor. One day, a Wednesday, they packed up and left at 11:00 am without saying a word. They did not show up on Thursday. I called and was told that the lead man’s hand was hurting and he would be back maybe on Saturday but definitely on Monday. They didn’t show on Saturday nor did they show up on the following Monday. This job took over 3 weeks to finish. They did have to remove a damaged chimney from the roofline up and repair some rotten boards on the porch roof. They replaced the chimney with vent pipe. I have a pellet stove and it was critical that they keep the stainless liner intact. They did, but they installed a used piece of chimney pipe and secured the 3-inch pellet stove liner cap to the top of the pipe. It looked terrible. I had to bring it to their attention and ask that they put something better looking up. They did, but I had to complain about it first. Why not just install it correctly the first time? When the roofing job was “done”, I discovered that they used multiple pieces of black flashing against the house. I have a white house and the shingles were green. The black flashing jumped out. They returned the following day, after I called the office, and replaced the black with white flashing. They bent the aluminum wrap on the windows in multiple places while installing the shingles. I had to point it out and complain in order to get the bent flashing replaced. I had to communicate with the office multiple times. I was told that it was unusual because the crew were usually very fast and reliable. I found them to be neither. I was not given a written guarantee or warranty on the work. I was told to just let them know if there was a problem and they would take care of it. I think the additional work was very overpriced for what was done. The chimney cap was not what I asked for and was a simple cap made of bent aluminum. With all that happened, the additional cost, the time the job took, the lack of communication and the final job, I cannot give Blue Ridge Roofing a high rating.
