***Reported review to Google that came in 3 hours after mine from Rachael Carter for a 5 star review on roof install to counter my 1 star review. She is the wife of a Sales Person who works for this roofing company giving a fake review. Very Shady!*** We have a newly built house by Lennar, who contracted Alpha Omega to do the roof. Our inspection of the roof Alpha Omega installed by our independent inspector showed multiple code violations. Lennar/Alpha Omega denied there are any violations after we shared the report with Lennar/Alpha Omega and they declined fixing it. We actually had parts of our shingles taken off to show these code violations were across the entire roof (Which Alpha Omega/Lennar prior to us doing this said this would not be the case). Here are the violations our inspector found. Lennar refuses to comment on this and the Director of Operations at Alpha Omega insists this is the quality work that Alpha Omega Construction group does. Hopefully this helps other people steer clear of this company for roofing! They do not follow code, use cheaper materials than what they are supposed to use and won't fix the issues. They just randomly fastened the roof using probably half of the fasteners they should have for this high wind area. A bunch of new houses have this issue in our neighborhood. Once the inspections started coming in by us and other residents, we noticed the new roofs had proper spacing and were lined up correctly when they installed the underlayment. 1. 15LB underlayment used when build docs call for 30LB 2. Shingles not installed per manufacturer. 6 nails per shingle is required and spacing between nails should be .5" to 2.5" from right to left and ours are spaced 6-10+ inches. 3. Underlayment cap fastener spacing on our roof ranged from 7-19". Code requires a MAX of 6" on center. 36" section of our underlayment that was examined only had 4 fasteners. 4. The underlayment nailing pattern exceeded the 6 inch on center spacing requirement as specified by code. 12" to 16" on center spacing was observed. In summary, the inspection results at all four test locations (drip edges and upslope areas at main and garage roofs) checked at this home all indicated the code required 6 inch nail spacing of the underlayment was not provided. In addition, the shingle nail spacing also greatly deviated from the code requirements for high wind zone fastening requirements specified by the shingle manufacturer. Roof Covering replacement is required for code compliance.

Alpha Omega is a long-standing, family-owned business that takes very seriously its commitment to workmanship and professionalism. However, this homeowner has raised his claims in another forum. We are unfortunately unable to provide any comment at this time as a result.

A situation of disappointment. Upon contact, I was given a day to come by and inspect for the repair, and notified a few days would follow before the quote. That did happen as stated. I sent a message to the group to explain a date range required to begin the repair, due to other contractors at my house (I needed them to finish first), and received a reply a few days later that it was already scheduled for a certain date. I had no idea, but, all the same; it was 2 weeks from the time of mention, and would work out fine. The week the repair was to begin, came, and I hadn’t heard anything from the company, but assumed everything was on schedule; I took off the Friday the repair was to commence as I needed to be present to make a pipe repair during the time my roof was being replaced. Morning of the day the repair was to begin came, and by 9:30, no sign of anyone. I called the companies secretary who informed me “they were probably collecting supplies”, no big deal. Noon came, no one. 2 o’clock came, no one. I decided to call the company back around 3, and to their surprise no one had shown up. To keep a long story short, I was very unhappy and informed them to cancel the work order. One thing I have never experienced in my time hiring contractors is a no show, no call. All other constraints, I’ve experienced, but this…..For a company this big and regarded, what a shame. I wont be coming back or referring any of my future inquiries, but hope this review stands for correction of circumstances like this. If a reply other than “we are sorry” even be considered for this matter, It simply proves additional holes in the business model of this entity. I wish them the best, and hope for them, a better business practice.

My name is Shantal and I returned to Charleston from N.Y and decided to renovate our 1935 family home. It has been in our family since 1978. This home is located in the Chicora/Cherokee area. I researched and came across Alpha Omega Construction which had multiple Excellent reviews, to do my siding. I contacted Mr. Patrick and from that moment on the journey of restoration became flawless. Mr. Patrick exuded professionalism, knowledge and empathy. He was thorough. Mr. Patrick walked me through this project with kindness and patience. He would answer all my questions and didn't "man splain". He gave various options from how to beautify the house to payment options. He was empathetic when the quote was over my budget. He worked with me so that I could have what I wanted within my budget. I continously praised his work ethics. It was above and beyond. I inquired about shutters and the next day this guy shows up with a sample of shutters. And he installed it for me! Another time, my workers were trying to get my refrigerator up the steps, here comes Patrick out of no where appears and lifts this stainless steal fridge, amazing. Sometimes I called him "the Calvary." Mr. Patrick understood that not only I needed this but the Chicora/Cherokee neighborhood needed this. Our neighborhood is known as a low income area. However Patrick took the job, took the challenge to restore this house to the Beacon of light that it was and is, once again because of him. He understood that this was for my mother, for our next generation and to uplift the community. Adults, children, strangers ,various people have stopped and say "that Is a Beautiful house" or would say "you are doing a good job." This is because of Mr. Patrick he took what I could only imagine and made it a reality for us. Alpha Omega Construction demonstrates professionalism, knowledge, pride, attention to detail and most of all kindness. Thank you I am grateful 🙏🏽
