  Not an enjoyable experience! I found mistakes right from the start. To give the benefit of the doubt I called the siding supplier who then put me in touch with the siding (LP Smart Side siding) representative. The rep came to my house and verified the incorrect installation practices that actually would void the warranty. After rectifying the mistakes we continued on but not without me questioning EVERYTHING they did. What the contractor can learn from this is that when the customer spots glaring, egregious mistakes it will send up the antennae to be super focused on the project that he is spending hard earned money on. Supposedly the owners son has been trained on the proper installation of the LP Smart Side but he was not at my house but one time and that was during the measuring and bidding process. One time when I called the contractor with a concern he yelled and cussed at me at the top of his lungs "You are the most Nitpicking *******homeowner I've had in 30 years. I reminded him that I was his customer and that raising his voice to me does no good. He does have a temper as he displayed it once again in earshot of my 17 year old daughter while yelling at his sub contractor. I would not recommend using ALL WEATHER EXTERIORS. The project was completed and looks good only by of virtue of the siding itself and of course me, the nitpicky homeowner. I do have to give kudos to the sub contractor who was receptive to my critique and was truly concerned about making things right. He was in a little over his head (LP Smart Side is a wood product siding, not vinyl siding which is easier to install) but did have the potential skill to improve, but I would still not recommend using ALL WEATHER EXTERIORS!

  My experience here was nothing short of disappointing.. The owner is nothing more than slick as a stick of butter. Working here was a joke. The owner has an electronic accounting system, but hand writes checks, forgets to pass that information along to the bookkeeper, puts customer information on post cards rather than in the accounting system, tries to track payments and charges on a post card and then wonders why his accounting system will not reconcile. Huh, I wonder why. Wow. So I started at All Weather Exteriors to "help them get their accounting back on track after their last bookkeeper left suddenly". I started in and started working to get vendors paid, accounts reconciled, bank reconciliations completed, payroll taxes paid etc. This was their explanation. I started delving into it and found out the way they was tracking incoming payments, outgoing payments, customer information etc. They do it on post cards, hand write checks and don't pass that information along and then sit back and wonder why things never reconcile. So I started delving into things, trying to figure things out, and got it to a point where they could apply for and be approved for the PPP loan through the SBA during the COVID 19 epidemic. As soon as they was approved, and things went through, I was informed that I was being replaced by a "retired woman who was climbing the walls in retirement." But don't fear, I was going to receive "one hell of a reference and a severance check" from the owner Dave. Here is the best part. My final check (severance check) was a whole whopping 70.00 plus taxes taken out, and was sent not signed. So I spent the next 3 weeks trying to get a signed check. So for 2 weeks, not a check, not an offer to get it signed. Nothing. After contacting Shane, the son, he rectified it with "it's in the mail". Ok, so within a few days, an envelope arrives. I open it to find a blank envelope with no check. WOW. Yes people, no check again. So I call and make arrangements to go into the office to get the original unsigned check signed. I told him I would be there at 1:00 PM. I arrive at 12:55 PM, and lone behold, Shane is not there. Had to leave to go to a customer but he'll be there shortly. I waited until 1:30 PM, yes 1:30, 35 minutes, and he takes the unsigned check inside and comes out still unsigned.. I looked and he had signed the back of the check, not the front. So it still was not able to be cashed. He goes back and signed the front of the check, FINALLY! I was able to cash the check and wash my hands of these people. I will say this much. I was replaced as they was not happy with paying me the money to fix and update their accounting. Well I was let go for someone cheaper and after all of this, I was replaced and between the owner, his son, and their new bookkeeper, between the 3 of them, they couldn't even send me a final signed check without all these issues. So all I can say is buyer beware. Dave does not like bad reviews and will raise his voice, slam his hands on his desk and say he's an upstanding businessman, but if you want good reviews, treat people with respect and dignity. There comes a day where people just need to retire, and this is a conversation that should have happened a decade ago. I guess he thought he would buy me off with a $70.00 severance and "one hell of a reference", but that did not work out so well as the facts are the facts. I am just glad to finally be done with these people! I do not recommend!!!
