We ordered a custom Hardie plank shed, stone pad and ramp through Phil, who was very accommodating both in design and price, as was the shed builder, Jake Kaufman, in PA. Customer service was excellent when problems did arise as they were addressed immediately. The “Outdoor Storage Structures” catalogue needs an addendum of all the options and restrictions to better educate the consumer to avoid problems, but Phil can answer any and all questions.

Sorry about the catalogue we have tried to get the Amish to print new ones but they have not in three years now. Thank you for the great review.

I ordered this shed in December and was told it would be here in March.  I'm fine that it was delivered April 6th, COVID has been a thorn in every business.  What I am not fine with is that every single time I called, I was told the person I needed to speak with wasn't in and I'd have to call back later.  I asked repeatedly to leave messages and was told I couldn't, this was just the answering service.  ???  What kind of answering service doesn't take messages?  What kind of business doesn't take messages during business hours?  I had to drive the 35 minutes each way to get there every time I wanted to talk to the salesman.

When I placed the order I asked for black trim and black shutters.  The salesman wrote in white shutters.  I signed it, my bad.  He called me on my way home and said it looked strange so he wanted to double check the color.  We agreed it would be changed to black shutters.  When I went to check on the building at their location I told him the shutters were the wrong color and was assured they would change them.  It arrived today with white shutters.  Ugh.  I don't want to deal with them again so I'll paint them myself.

I had to add in a pad package because it turned out my husband didn't have time to do it himself and I can't help.  That was the reason I tried calling for two weeks starting in January.  I finally went in and added the nearly $2,000 pad price to my 12x20 shed.  $2000!!!  Fine - we need it so we'll pay for it.  It comes to March and I still haven't heard anything about the pad installation or when the shed will arrive.  Again I tried calling repeatedly to get dates.  After a week of trying to call and not being able to leave a message I drove over.  This time the salesman left me his phone number.  Too little, too late.  Fortunately I never had to deal with him again except to check out the finished building.  He managed to get that wrong as described above.

The end product is great.  The delivery people are great.  The people that installed the pad are expensive but wonderful.  The salesman's communication earned this 2 stars.  Oh - and no one there wears masks.  We are in a pandemic.  I will die if I get COVID.  Thanks for not doing the bare minimum to protect your community from this virus.  Thanks for mocking another customer who had asked you to wear one.  Super professional.  This shed is a playhouse for my kids.  I ordered a 2nd for myself through Lowe's.  I can actually get ahold of the salesman who kindly wore a mask the whole time I was there.

Sorry we are so bad ! We will wear a mask If asked . Sheds have taken 16 weeks before December. I will take it up with the answering service. You enjoy your Lowes shed have a great day . As an owner If I get Covid 19 I will die with all my health reasons but I do not wear a mask I have customers stay 6' back . I can not breath with a mask . It is my choice but I do wear one If asked. Sorry for your experience . We are very small company . We try to make everyone happy. Thanks for letting us know what to fix we have stayed so busy we can not get to the phones so we added the service.

This is the second shed I have bought from these folks. They are very helpful and deliver just what they say. Would use them again!

12/3 update: all this time to respond with lies and WRONG details? A real apology would have helped, but you just proved my point.👎🏾--------
First let me say that the workmanship and delivery time from the actual manufacturer was OUTSTANDING!  This is the ONLY reason for the 1 star as I had to find something positive to say; however, the customer service on the other hand was not good at all.  I ordered a 12x22 foot shed with a  4 ft porch; pre-wiring for electric; and full insulation.  I discussed  AT LENGTH with the sales rep that my plan for the building was to run plumbing to the structure to make it a true she-shed.
Strike 1:  Sales rep orders wrong shed size and it arrives on time, but is wrong.  Rep didn't know the details of the product he was selling.  Correct size ordered. Now delivery date is 3 months out.
Strike 2:  Deceptive charges.  New invoice  was emailed and the price for insulation on the additional 4 foot correction was DOUBLE the amount on the original building invoice?  How is it possible for 4 ft insulation to cost that much???  Rep told me that he made an error on the first invoice and the error was corrected on this one.  They just slipped that extra fee in there and had I not inquired about it, they would have just taken my money and not said a word.  Rep didn't offer to speak with someone about honoring the original incorrect rate even though that would have been the ethical thing to do.
Correct shed arrives way early-- in September-- and we set up delivery. YAY! Delivery guy had a heck of a time "leveling" the building on the blocks that we were assured would be fine to add additional support even though my husband asked at time of purchase in JUNE if we needed to place the shed on a concrete slab.  We were told no.

Strike 3:  The building is "level", but certainly not secure for the size and we are concerned that with permitting through the county that it won't pass inspection.  The county request minimum specs.  Same rep advises to provide info from the catalog that indicates a stone pad as the minimum manufacturer's recommendation.  I inquire about the stone pad and ask if they can do it and of course they can do it-- for $2550. It's September.  I bought the building in June. Wow.

We later found through the financing company after complaining about the failure to disclose the minimum needs of the building  and stability concerns that we couldn't make any changes to the structure with the plumbing. I asked if this wasn't something that should have been disclosed at the time of purchase with the company and they agreed that it should have been explained at that time.  We could have easily used a different payment option.  The rep at Absolutely Amish lied and said they didn't know that we were planning to have plumbing added.  As much as I loved the building, I chose to return it and take my business elsewhere because it seemed to me that the reps at Absolutely Amish were only concerned about money--not doing what was right by the customer to ensure proper installment.  I'm attaching pictures of what the shed looked like on blocks. SHAMEFUL.  The errors and omissions were absolutely appalling.  ALL customers deserve thorough customer service and care to ensure the longevity of their purchase and they didn't even have the decency to offer an apology for all the inconvenience and impact on my business as a result of the delays and subsequent cancellation. We requested a refund because of the terrible way that we were treated even though we were EXTREMELY patient with all the issues that came up as a result of their customer service problems.  I'm sure they figured we didn't matter because they could easily sell the beautiful building to someone else, but customer service DOES matter for ALL customers, not just a select few or type of customer.  And it took over a week for them to pick up the shed and now the finance company is trying to charge me for the time it was on my property. I will NEVER  recommend this company to any one. When customers ask questions:  LISTEN and then TELL the truth.

She ordered a 12x22 and she did not tell us she wanted the inside 12x20 so we told her we would re order. She received the next building in two weeks even though she said to me I am in no hurry. When she changed the size of the inside it changed the price for insulation and finishing the walls and electric. We put buildings in Stafford county on blocks all the time bigger than this one . The reason the county had to have stone or concrete was she was adding plumbing. I told her that at the time she bought it we did not know the code for anything plumbing. The building we sold to the rent to own company . In the contract she signed with rent to own it said she can not add plumbing until it is paid . The reason we have to be able to pick it up if she did not want it or pay for it. I did call the finance company Newfound Rentals and asked to have all her money refunded . This did happen so she did get her money in full no cost out of pocket. I am sorry this happened the rep she was  with at first was new. He had never sold one of the buildings but did read everything to her out of the book what came with it. We hope she is happy with her new company. We are very great at doing these buildings and so is he now. All money was refunded and the rent to own company did not have to do that. She also gave the rent to own company a bad review.

This was a great experience all around. The highlight was the two gentlemen who installed the shed, they were very friendly and really took the time to make it right even though the install location was very challenging. To top it all off, they helped me put my fence back up after their job was done! Consider me an impressed customer of the above and beyond service I received today!

The first time I called, a lady picked up and said someone would return my call with quote details and never did. The second time I called back was a month later, I got an estimated quote through the phone and was told to come in for permit information. My husband and I about drove 45 minutes in traffic excited to get this information only to have the person that was suppose to give us the information not be present. Why tell us to come in if the person is going to leave an hour early? We were calm and understanding emergencies and families happen but was told we would receive an email with the permit information and quote and it’s been two weeks and nothing has happened yet. So far this is very unprofessional and it’s like I’m on a wild goose chase for information it’s ridiculous.

You have the wrong company we do not have any ladies working here. I believe you are talking about a company close to us. We do not have you come in for a permit. I would be glad to help you . The building has to be bigger than 256 square feet for permit . We do everything over the phone and scan what you need to sign. There is a company that had a name close to ours.
