  Highly advise not using. Completely destroyed porch while competing roof project. Was away for weekend, upon return porch was completely detached from house (2 days after completion), nearly falling into first floor bedroom. Sold me on having a project manager who over sees entire project. Did nothing to assist in fixing porch, drilled a couple 2x4’s to hold up while I found quotes. Once I found someone they took what was owed off of bill. More complications are coming up while being fixed, refuse to assist in paying for completion of porch. As well threaten to take me to court for outstanding balance (after all said and one I’ll have paid more to fix the porch than the roof). Thought I did right thing by figuring it out between us and not getting insurance involved, that was obviously a mistake. Couldn’t be more disappointed.

  Rocco, We strive for 100% customer satisfaction in every customer interaction. There will always be things that happen from time to time with these older houses that are out of anyone's full control. When we agreed to the original job, your porch was already significantly detached from your home and we made it clear that we were not capable of the structural repair that was needed to reattach it. When we completed the work on the home, the detachment had gotten worse. We quickly addressed the issue and stabilized the porch to prevent any further tear away from the home. We care about correcting problems that arise on jobs and were quick to make sure we communicated clearly with you and wanted to offer the best solution. When we asked you to get contractor quotes from a specialist, we agreed to remove the total cost of the restoration quote from the price of your contract and when you submitted the signed quote from your contact; we fulfilled that promise. You always had the option of filing a claim since it is your home. We have only received $800 towards over $13,000 thus far. We credited over $8,000 to your account based on the signed quote we received from your contractor. We did exactly everything we could do for you on our end and you have failed to pay the remaining balance. Since you stated that you hired an attorney, we had no other choice but to let the magistrate decide the resolution of the remaining balance of over $4,300 that we feel we are still owed. We are 100% comfortable following through with anything the judge requires us to do. We are sorry this is such a hassle but we did everything we could to resolve this situation. We are the #1 customer service company in Pittsburgh for a reason and it's not because every job goes perfect but because we strive to correct errors and exceed expectations when it doesn't.

  Someone answered the phone when I called to schedule, which is rare these days. I got to talk to a woman that was very knowledgeable about their process. Great communication throughout from Marc. It is rare to get good communication on an estimate and follow through, but Big Fish and Marc sure did. He told me my roof was good for about 5 more years and recommended a couple maintenance things. He could have told me I needed new roof right away and I would have took his word for it because I wouldn't know any better. I really really appreciate their honesty and not taking advantage of people. I will for sure use them when I need a new roof. Everyone of my neighbors have used them and have been very pleased.

  We had an excellent experience with Big Fish and recommend them highly. Our first contact was last summer when we had some leaking problems and were looking for a repair. Ed Brown from Big Fish was the only person I could get a reply from at the time. He came out and took a look. Unfortunately, he determined a repair could not be done well and that our existing roof had reached the end of it's life. We were not prepared at that time but Ed did offer some suggestions and we endured the winter. This spring we began the process of purchasing a new roof. Big Fish was definitely top of my list due to my previous experience with Ed. We did, however, get other estimates. In price, Big Fish was somewhere in the middle . In quality of materials offered, Big Fish was comparable to the highest estimates. As far as responsiveness, professionalism, getting our questions answered, and integrity, Big Fish came out on top. On the day of the install, the crew, dumpster, and materials showed up right on time at 7am and efficiently set about their tasks. A mid -morning downpour interrupted the proceedings, during which the crew deftly covered exposed areas and let the storm pass. The crew was very highly skilled and did a great job. The project manager Tommy and his assistant Brian kept us apprised of all developments throughout the day regarding replacing bad wood and confirming our materials choices. 10 hours later we had a brand new roof and it looks fantastic! Tommy came out himself the following day to install one last vent that was needed. In the end, it was a very positive experience. The job was finished and billed as quoted whereas a company of lesser integrity may have sought for other charges to add last minute. We recommend Big Fish for your roofing needs. Thanks to Ed, Tommy, Brian, and crew for all you did!
