  We built a new home in 2017 using John Bowen Construction. He used Word of Mouth roofing to install the roof. Last fall we noticed the roof shingles near the gutter were buckling. We contacted an inspector who told us the drip edges were not nailed down properly. We contacted the builder who told us basically we were out of luck because it wasn't under warranty anymore. He did give us the name of the owner of word of mouth and told us to tell him that he said to call. We called Troy and he was very responsive at first, promising to go look. We had sent him pics and he agreed it didn't look right. He finally made it out to the house shortly before Christmas and agreed it was not done properly and that he would get it fixed just as soon as he got some new shingles ordered. I never heard back so I reached out after the new year and he said "give me a week." A month later and still no word. I reached out again and he did not respond. I finally complained to the BBB and he never responded to that complaint either. Do not use this roofer and if you are building with John Bowen make sure he isn't using him either.

  DO NOT HIRE THEM! After the big storm that hit a few months ago, I called them to fix the roof on my rental property. I live out of town and drove in to see the damage for myself. I had called Troy (the owner of WoMR) right after I got off the phone with my property management team to get an estimate. He said he would go out there and weather proof the property that same day we spoke. So I got on the road the next day and gave him a call letting him know that I was leaving Austin headed to Copperas Cove. (it takes about an hour and 15) Troy said he was right down the road and not to worry because he had ALREADY weather proofed the roof. I get to town and see Troy weather proofing the roof... (ok no big deal because it didn't rain anymore) I get my claims adjuster out there. All info was exchanged and I left town thinking everything was ok. Two days later I get a text from Troy saying he had not been paid for weather proofing and that I could just pay him cash. I replied " Payment will come from the property management team who have been trying to get ahold of you." Come to find out he had not done anything to the roof and my property management team had to go with a different contractor. Troy then would not return any calls or texts.
