      First of all I want to give credit where credit is due and that is to Jacob!! He is a 5 Star employee and they are lucky to have him!!!! Other then that I’ve gone all the way to the owner of the company Allyn (and no I didn’t miss spell his name) to resolve some issues that I will list below. 1. They over ordered my shingle need by more then 30% inflating the job estimate. Instead of having 2 or 3 bundles left over they had more the 25 bundles left over!!!! That 25 doesn’t include 9 bundles that I caught as the wrong color that they were going to put on the roof before I stopped them and they were set back on the truck! When I asked them to credit me back for the extra bundles that they would return to the supplier I was told that I signed the estimate and I would not be getting an adjustment! 2. I did not want a sub-installation crew doing my roof. Those are crews that are brought in during storm events and then they leave after the roofing company is caught up on jobs!! I was mislead into thinking I was not getting a sub crew, but when they arrived at my house they were a sub crew from Texas that were brought to Lincoln this spring after the hail storm we had and would be returning to Texas. 3. The Sub crew were using my gutters as foot support and damaged 75 foot of gutters. They would have damaged all my gutters if I had not been there and stopped them! Weddle offered $200 damage compensation for the gutters which is laughable!! 4. I was charged a $350 up charge for special hip & ridge caps and come to find out that’s the only hip & ridge made for my shingles! How can there be an up charge if there’s no other option?? I asked for that charge to be refunded with no response from Allyn!! 5. There were several order mistakes that resulted in the job taking 3 days to complete instead of 1 1/2 days. Wrong size sky lights, wrong size vent caps, 9 wrong color shingle bundles. Their comment, (we don’t guarantee how long a job will take)! Bottom line: I was an unhappy customer hoping that once I got to the head of the company that Allyn would do what ever it took to rectify that situation!! Instead he never even apologized for any of the mistakes and ended our communication with “ I’m done arguing” He offered $200 for the damaged gutter and $250 additional payment if I agree to forgo their job warranty!! Are you serious Allyn!!!! My last communication with him was unfortunately “I’ll have to go to small claims court to get this resolved”! I’m glad to see so many customers are happy with their service and I wanted to be one of those also!!! Sadly that’s not what they wanted!!!

      Hi Don. We tried a lot of different ways to resolve things for you on this job. Customer satisfaction is our highest priority. We aim for 99% satisfaction and as you noted from all our other reviews, that's about what we get. But 1 out of 100 clients refuse to be satisfied. If we ever fail to deliver on anything that we have contracted to do, we will do anything and spend any amount of money to make it right. In your case, you have come up with your own extra-contractual items, so there's not really any remedy we have other than trying to give you enough money to make you happy. We're not going that route, because we delivered exactly what we contracted to deliver. We bid your project based on a certain size and that's exactly the size of your roof. The fact that we ordered too many shingles added some handling from our end but was irrelevant for you. We always try to have extra materials onsite to avoid delays. You had a special order product so we ordered even more safety stock than usual, which added extra costs for us. You mentioned other material ordering issues, which all were resolved by us at our expense (as they should be). We also offered and expected to replace any damaged sections of gutter at our own expense, as we would do on any job. We could respond to all these other things but ultimately when every other client that works with us has been able to find resolution, the issue is probably not our customer service.

      The whole process was smooth, even during the Covid-19 restrictions that organizations and the government were putting into place. Moses, from Weddle and Sons came out to do the initial review and provided a quote offering to assist me through the process with the insurance company. They also provided several options to choose from and pointed out that the Category 4 Impact Resistant shingle could provide a homeowner’s insurance discount if I was interested. Communication about the install was great as well. Providing me updates and any possible delays due to weather in the area. On the day of install, the roofers and foreman all showed up before 8 AM and let me know the material would arrive between 9 and 10. Until then, the roofers went to work to remove the old roofing material and prepare for the installation of the new material. The entire job was completed in a day with the foreman providing me updates and asking for input on a couple of items. Unexpectedly the foreman offered to remove some pop-up little trees around the house as well. This helped tremendously as I was just starting to go around and do some of that clean-up as well. Overall, Weddle and Sons did a fantastic job and I would recommend them to anyone looking to replace their roof.

      Terrific Company! Weddle and Sons installed a new roof that looks beautiful. They were quick, efficient, and simply did a good job. Samuel was very patient with my questions and very helpful with everything. He was very thorough when he investigated 1 small problem that I had, and was just so easy to work with. I would recommend Weddle and Sons to anyone who needs a new roof. They also offer a 7 year workmanship guarantee, which is longer than most roofers. I know I already said it, but the new roof just looks beautiful! The people with the company are simply very ethical, which can be missing sometimes. Their price was also more reasonable - no gouging to upgrade to the impact resistant or for gutter covers.
