  The crew came and installed a vapor barrier and insulation in the crawl space day one, the second day they used "aeroseal" on the duct work and reduced leakage by 97%, which their printout showed in an easy to understand manner. They covered everything in plastic, even taking the time to cover the fish bowl and poke a little air hole in it. There were a couple of minor things that weren't perfect but they did a good job all in all, and the quote was the price I was charged. They were fair, clean, and easy to deal with. I'm looking forward to a healthier house and a more efficient and comfortable winter.

  The crew showed up on time - all dressed professionally - and were very respectful. The estimator said the work would be done in a day and it was! As they were leaving, they cleaned up the attic and crawlspace area as if they had never been there. My home is noticeably warmer! I haven't seen my energy bills change yet, but I am sure that I will see a drop in my home heating costs. I highly recommend Weatherize Alaska. They are not the cheapest insulation company in Anchorage, but I had a great experience with them and consider them one of the best contractors I've hired. They delivered exactly what they said they would. On-time. Courteous. Knowledgeable. Effective.

  Summer Of 2017 I had weatherization Alaska install vapor barrier in crawl space and fill the duct holes with their system. The surfaces in my house over a year and half later are still covered with dust and material used to fill the duct holes. The work was not done properly. They made a huge mess while doing their work, had no supplies for protecting flooring and corners when bringing in their equipment. Broke a light fixture in crawl space and left it hanging, scratched my dining room table when using it for their work with no protection. (Did not fix either) Very poor quality control — left some ducts covered. Every day that I wipe down counters and tables and have the same dirty dust I am reminded how poor their work was and probably a total waste of money to pay them to seal ducts as it all seems to be blowing out. Worst contractor to ever do work in my house. The only thing they did do well was the actual install of vapor barrier and insulation - but I know nothing about how it should be so that is just an assumption. Their process to do it was a disaster. Staff unsupervised.
