He responded with a quote and made repairs quickly. He took pictures to show what he and and his team did during the process. I would not hesitate to recommend him to friends and family for any roofing concerns. Bill and Joanne Neville

The brief summary is this: Very responsive, very competitive pricing, genuine interest in the job, personable, flexible, and I'm extremely happy with the outcome. If you'd like the "War & Peace" summary of the process in greater detail, read on: I spoke with Gunnar Smith at Valley Peak Roofing and requested a quote on replacing my roof as I had suffered some water damage during a high wind/rain storm over a year ago. Within a matter of days, I had two quotes emailed to me and Gunnar gladly explained the difference between the two via telephone. I went for the upgraded package as it seemed to me if you're going to do this, do it right! I selected the color I wanted and to my utter amazement, the job to replace my roof was scheduled the same week. The following day I shared the color we chose with my HOA and it was rejected. I spoke with Gunnar assuming this would cause delays, but not an issue. I picked another color, got approval, and was informed we were still good to go as planned. We had to back it up by one day due to weather which was the right call. Rained all day on Thursday as originally planned, but was beautiful the next day where we had rescheduled for Friday. I was told the crew would be here at 8:00, and at about 7:50 two vans rolled up. They patiently waited ten minutes to start exactly on time. First tarping the front and back of my house so the shingles would fall away from my house and landscaping as they were removed. Gunnar had prepped me with some things to take care of, especially upstairs, as the process can cause a certain amount of vibration. I simply took some pictures down upstairs and had no issues. A crew of eight began the tear off of the old shingles and had it done in no time. This showed a few areas of water damage as expected as well as other areas that I wasn't aware of. These spots were replaced with new plywood that were included in the quote (I actually received a $400 discount as we didn't need as much as expected, bonus!). From there all of the "underlayment" was put in place with great attention to detail, I watched all day like an obnoxious homeowner. Once everything was prepared to start installing the new shingles, it was fun watching it all come together. One crew working towards the peak from the back and another from the front. I had a couple of questions for the foreman, Steve, and he had everything in the works before I even asked. Probably the most impressive thing to me was watching everyone know what to do without hardly saying a word. They simply knew their roles. Additionally, watching how the shingles were laid/cut around the dormers perfectly was cool. If you cannot tell by now, I was impressed by the process. When complete, there was hardly a scrap of anything in my yard as one of the crew was dedicated to keeping the site clean all day and had loaded everything into a dumpster. Once complete, a few of the crew walked my entire yard with magnets to pick up any stray nails which will innevitably fall throughout the job. Outside of my new roof, when this crew was done, it looked like nobody was ever here. All complete in one day. Kudos, I would highly recommed Valley Peak Roofing to family and friends all day long. I apologize for the lengthy write up, but I can type, and this crew deserves the credit for a job well done. Thoroughly Satisfied Customer, Robert Schilling
