To the Jacksons, my lawyers have been trying to reach you both for quite some time to recover the judgement I won against your company, Texas First Roofing & Construction, for the poor/incomplete work that Terry and his crew did on my home. You have ignored every attempt to be reached, but yet find the time to respond to any negative complaint left as a review. I can only assume those are true, based on how I was handled as a customer. Please do the right thing and stop avoiding contact and pay what is owed to me. Terry and his crew did a horrible installation, left cracked, loose, and crooked siding all the way around my home. Not to mention, the insulation I was shown in the showroom was not what was installed (I have your emails to prove that) - and vertical windows were installed for a horizontal frame, causing leaking in my home. I've had to have another contractor come out and BOLT DOWN siding that kept flying off of the home just couple of months after your installation. Please do the right thing as business owners. You guys have been avoiding me and my lawyers for over a year and a half now.

Terry will tell you how he has a gift for working on homes. He came into our home criticized the works of previous contractors only to be worse thing ever. It took over 18 months to complete a 6 week job. They always use the weather as an excuse despite other companies working. If there is a cloud or a 10% chance of rain....guess what? They won't come. I debated whether or not to write a review, considering the wife/office manger Jackie always writes these comments to make it seem like the customer is overreacting.....but today after a year of the work being completed, there is water intrusion in our home after Terry assured us it was corrected. because there is so much I can say about the Jacksons and their "business" (I use that term loosely) I will just use brief points - requests payments promptly, but delays sending workers - uses subpar contractors - excuses, excuses, excuses I think the ONLY reason we got our home finished was we had an open dispute and the finance company would not pay them until we were happy. I read all of the comments about people paying without getting work done. I don't know how all of the negative comments came out AFTER we got ourselves entangled with them, but I am trying to help someone else out. Stay away from the Jacksons....unless you are looking for trouble.f EDIT: (since they finally replied) The reason we switched to siding was due to your suggestion. I guess you forgot that you kept pushing out our job because the contractors "were price gauging" (your words). We do NOT have a balance that was forgiven...we paid you all. However if you were delayed payment, it was because we had to file multiple grievances with the financing company. And if you sit here and tell the bold face lie about it taking 8 months, shame on you. I have all email correspondences. The reason we did not contact you about continued water intrusion was because we were SICK OF YOUR BUSINESS PRACTICES!!!! You act like the amount of work was done for free! We paid you all. Its a shame a black owned business is so poor.

Your husband came to us complaining about the work that was done by the previous contractor. We did not come to your home to criticized but to take care of the problems. We completed all your projects to your home over a year ago. We completed the removal of stucco and replacement of siding, along with other projects, roof, gutters, painting, exterior repair, interior repair, exterior lighting, etc. Please note you requested stucco and four weeks later change to installing siding of the house, which had a lead time in ordering. And yes, weather, water ponding, change orders, etc dictated a longer schedule. We started in June and finished in 8 months (Jan) not 18 months. It took longer then we both expected. You had multiple layers of stucco, sheetrock and your yard held water after rains which made it impossible for the guys to remove heavy stucco without sinking. Our trailer got stuck once. We had to wait days and sometimes weeks for your yard to dry out. Your husband said he has to walk out in boots after rain because of so much water ponding in the yard. We did not charge you for the extra work nor cost in completing your jobs. Even though you have a balance with us, we have forgone not to demand it because you had done several projects with us and we appreciate your business. Your jobs were completed because it was right to complete them. We completed your job over a year ago. We worked with your husband and got everything (8 different projects) done in a reasonable time frame. We warranty our work. We were not notified of water intrusion in your home, therefore we do not know if it from our work, it has been over a year. So please allow us to warranty the work. Contact our office for the best time for you. Again thank you.

Worst company ever my dad worked for you since October and you haven't paid him. Yes I'm not your customer but my dad was a subcontractor for you. JACKIE OR TERRY never answer their phone because they now they will never pay. Now you are trying to intimidate us by saying the owner of the company is going to tell our status, I'm pretty sure that didn't mind when my dad was doing the job. Now they will try to say the job wasn't done right. But we NEVER had to go back into one of the houses my dad did repairs on.
