My 2-3 day roof installation turned into a 4 week nightmare. While installing the roof they cracked one of my skylights then tried to upsell me on the other one that wasn't damaged. They tore up the sheetrock around both skylights then "fixed" it with packing tape. Scratched up the siding on my house then tried 2 times to "clean" it which made it worse with splotches everywhere. To get them to repair the sheetrock AND the siding was a constant fight. Sam (the owner) kept trying to tell me it all looked fine. Before they even started I told them I needed to be notified BEFORE they did anything that increased the cost of the estimate. They did not, then added an extra $100 to the bill for "damaged wood". I understand issues can arise, but a professional company will take responsibility and not make the customer fight for what's right. This was a neighborhood company that had good reviews so I thought I'd picked well. Beware. Update: The response to this review from the owner is indicative of how our interactions went. I expected to have a new roof put on my house, not a 4 week long fight to fix the things that were damaged. The pictures speak for themselves.

We value your opinion but disagree with your comments. We have been very responsive and have taken responsibility to remedy your concerns prior to this review being made. It takes time to get out the appropriate people to correct some of these issues. The skylight cracked because it was over 20 years old and the skylight was sealed to the frame, so it is not an easy removal. Upon removing the skylight, the interior drywall was damaged due to the skylight being adhered to the frame. We repaired the interior damage with dry wall not packing tape. We also suggested replacing the other skylight as well, given it too was 20 years old, to ensure you did not have future problems - we did not "up sell" the skylight, we offered to replace it, giving you the choice. The extra charge was one sheet of plywood that had to be replaced to ensure the roof was structurally sound.

My neighbor hired this company recently, and it was a horrible experience for us. August 25 - My partner called because the roofers left our neighbor's potted plants in our front yard. The person he spoken to mentioned they had already spoken to someone at our house, but they hadn't, so I think the neighbors on the other side may have also called. August 26 - Just as we arrived home, I saw one of the roofers walk through our garden and trample one of our plants so badly that a branch broke off. I pointed it out to him and he insincerely said, "Oh, sorry." My other neighbor later told me she had seen them dragging a tarp through our garden. I called and left a voicemail stating what happened. No one called me back, but someone arrived shortly after, so I told him what happened--he didn't care. August 29 - I left a voicemail reporting the continued use of our property as a dumping ground for their trash and supplies. No one called me back. This company took over a week to replace a basic roof. It's somewhat steep, but small in area, and otherwise straightforward. Due to their carelessness, disrespect, inefficiency, and poor communication, I would never hire this company. I'm surprised they're still in business considering they leave all their tools and supplies out overnight asking to be stolen.
Response from the owner
The house you are referencing sits very closely to each neighbor on both sides and did not allow us very much space to work in. We do our best to protect the area in which we are working. This was a very steep roof and while we do our best to protect the area in which we are working, debris is not always easy to contain to one small area. We do clean up on a daily basis. While you may have not gotten a call directly, we did make sure your concerns were addressed as best we could, given the very tight working conditions we were subject to. While you may not have been called back directly, your concerns were addressed with our crew.

I would never use this company again. We are doing a flip and actually care about the quality of 8natwll and professionalism of workers. Between the showing up hours and hours late and leaving beer cans in our driveway as they drank in their truck at the end of the day we would never recommend thos company. The gutter install left a huge mess with giant 6 inch set nails under our trucks .owner made a lot of excuses instead of just correcting it. Hopefully others will know to avoid these guys. I wouldn't trust they'll honor any of their warranties.

Professionalism is having a conversation prior to posting a negative review. We were working with you regarding your concerns about a few runs of gutters being placed in your onsite drop box. You posted this negative review first thing Monday morning before we had a chance to fully address your concerns sent late Friday night. The hours our workers are on the job or what they do after they are off the clock, has nothing to do with the quality of work performed. Same thing goes for the gutter installation. A few gutter nails unintentionally not being collected at the end of the job has nothing to do with the quality of work. We stand by our workers and roof installations and disagree with your review. The owner has called you and you told him you couldn’t talk. He has yet to receive a call back. He is still available to discuss should you find the time to do so.
