This review has been a long time coming. We got our windows a little over a year ago, but due to circumstances, I was not able to write a review. However, I feel like I should keep my promise to write one. I have been very happy with the windows. Where my basement was always freezing cold, even in summer, it is now comfortably cool in summer or warm in winter. Our energy bills have gone down some, in spite of the rise in prices for utilities. The people who put the windows in worked efficiently, quickly and were courteous. Our special needs were taken into consideration. I feel I could recommend this company to anyone who is looking for new windows for their home.

When soliciting the elderly.. it would be a good idea to have the person reach out to family members.. especially when dealing with tens of thousands of dollars. Glad we were able to stop any work before this company started ripping out windows and doors. In fairness they were quick to return phone calls after a bad online review.

The person writing this Fake review has had no experience with our company, this is not a customer it is a fake review. Anyone with a email address can leave reviews on any company. Although, Superior Home Improvement will never take advantage of anyone young or elderly. We always ask everyone over 60 if there is anyone else who they would like to speak with about their decision concerning their home. If the homeowner says they make all of the decisions and we can tell they are mentally capable, only then we would move forward with a project. Furthermore, we do not rip people off we can show real true value for products we provide. Also, we do not replace windows that are already efficient. We perform multiple tests on existing windows and if they are efficient we do not replace them.

We participated in the Home Energy Program. I get the impression Superior's main focus with that is to sell windows. The windows we got are fine, but I'm not interested in working with Superior ever again. From beginning to end this process had problems. I think the salesperson over-promised: he said the windows wouldn't be cold to the touch in the winter, that we would have the walls between us and our neighbors insulated (that was not done) and he also said the sliding door would slide easily with just one finger (it's not bad, but it certainly doesn't do that). The energy auditor was great and recommended an interior door sweep and a change to the venting of the attic fan. Superior followed neither of these recommendations. The main installation process left a lot to be desired. Most of the workers were great, but the team leader not only didn't show up on time, he also didn't introduce his team or tell me the project plan. Additionally, he went about ordering supplies without referring to the notes he took on what we needed (he told me that when I asked why it didn't match what we had talked about), and showed up with an incorrectly manufactured window and incorrect light bulbs. When the work was finished, I couldn't tell, because he hadn't followed up on the auditor's recommendations, and he also hadn't told me exactly what the plan was. He tried to get me to sign off on the job before walking through and looking at the work. I insisted on a walk-through, and he was very annoyed. During the walkthrough, each time I pointed out something that needed to be adjusted (window latch that scraped, incorrect window, no lock on the back door, no interior sweep, etc, no weatherstripping done on the front door, etc.) his first response was to blame me for not accepting the problem as "good enough" and to put me down. He even told me that there is no such thing as an interior door sweep, implying that I was stupid to ask for one. Additionally, the stucco installer behaved in an overly familiar and physically inappropriate way as he was leaving , and the insulation installers knocked over our property and didn't clean up their mess, leaving us with insulation all over the hallway and stairs. Superior itself didn't communicate with me very well. I was told that I would get a copy of the energy audit and recommendations, and despite asking, I didn't get it until after leaving a review mentioning this fact. After posting my review, I received a letter from the owner accusing me of lying about my experiences, stating that they have no control over the quality of the products they install, and offering to pay me to remove the review. I was also very surprised to find that the loan secured for us through Superior in this program had a terrible interest rate, and no explanation was given for that; we were only told that we could get a different loan if we wanted to. I did get new windows and some attic insulation out of the project, which after all, I did pay for. But for the amount of effort and difficulty I went to in order to see the project to satisfaction was too much. All in all, if I had it to do over again, I would rather not work with Superior Home Improvement.
