  Received estimate on November 11, by Eddie after he went up on my roof to examine the damage to my chimney. Recommended rebuild of chimney from the roof line and up. Called later that day to accept the estimate, gave deposit and job was scheduled for 12/2. Received a call from the office (Tammy)after the crew arrived at my house to perform the job and was informed that they needed scaffolding as they were not aware how high up the job was and there would be an additional cost. I told them that Eddie was up on my roof to inspect and never said that scaffolding was needed and that I should not be responsible for any additional cost. Since I would not agree to the additional cost, my deposit was refunded; however, I was told that they were upset with Eddie and they (Tammy and the manager) were going to speak to him later in the day and try to work something out since they wasted a month of my time in getting the necessary repairs done and that he made the crucial error in not including the cost of scaffolding. I never heard back from them. This was not a hidden cost (unexpected damage during demo); this should have been taken into consideration the day Eddie came and gave the estimate. Their apologies and refund of my deposit means nothing to me as now I have to find another company to do the repairs to my chimney before I can have my fireplace back in working order. In addition, I had to pay to have special liners removed from my chimney so they would not be damaged during the demo. Poor way to conduct business. If they truly cared about the customer, they would have done the job at the agreed price of estimate since the error was clearly in their end. 12/3: received a call from Eddie who claimed that in his effort to save me money was hoping that the job could be done without scaffolding; he said they were willing to take $500 off the price of the scaffolding which still would have been an additional $1500 more than the original estimate I was given. I explained to him that his attempt to save me money ended up screwing me in the long run as it is now close to a month later and now I am starting from the beginning again. He should have been up front from the start and this unnecessary aggravation could have been avoided and this company would not have gotten such a terrible review from me. I edited my review based on my experience with Sheffield. He reached out to me to right the wrong that was done to me. After a long discussion, we reached an agreement that was more than fair. I want to thank him for being a man of his word.

  Reasonable, fair price and excellent work. We had to reschedule both the estimate and the actual work due to the weather and both times they gave more than enough notice. They did two sections of my roof which were long overdue to be done and finished in just over a day. Extremely pleased with this company!

  Sunrise Roofing repaired a section of my roof in 2016 to fix a leak. When that repair didn’t work they came back to fix it again. When that didn’t work, they took complete responsibility and re did the job. Sometimes things don’t work the first time, but knowing that Sunrise came back to fix it makes them a trustworthy and reliable company. BTW, this last job looks perfect too!
