Stay away from this business - no stars is too high a rating! Mr. Oscar Gomez of Sun Valley Roofing Company and I entered into an agreement to install a new roof on my property. A project that should have taken no more than two or three weeks, stretched from 15 March to 5 July 2017. My property was damaged by debris and nails left in the yard and pool. Vehicles were parked in the yard overnight, electricity was used without the tenant’s consent, and when the tenant confronted the Sun Valley workers they were belligerent towards my tenant. The unprofessional behavior of the Sun Valley roofing crew caused my tenants to move out of the property. Mr. Gomez issued an estimate that called for NEW tile when in fact he used tile from his yard purchased in 2011 that had been rejected from another project. This bait and switch maneuver was not discovered until we contacted the manufacturer. The tile was so old that it was out of warranty and would not be warrantied by the manufacturer. Throughout the debacle Mr. Gomez was difficult to contact and non-responsive to email. When I brought all of this to his attention and attempted to settle the transaction, he took three weeks to accept to my offer. For the next two months we waited for the agreed upon warranty to be delivered. It was not delivered. In September 2017, Mr. Gomez offered to correct his “mistake” in an email by replacing the entire roof with NEW tile. I refused to subject my new tenant to the possibility of another debacle. I again outlined my reasoning to Mr. Gomez through email and asked him to fulfill our agreed upon settlement from July 2017. Mr. Gomez again went incommunicado until April 2018 when he engaged a lawyer to write me a letter demanding FULL payment. I replied and provided documentation covering the entire transaction which resulted in Sun Valley accepting the July 2017 agreement in May 2018. Mr. Gomez displayed a lack of transparency and integrity throughout this transaction and I would not recommend Sun Valley Roofing to anyone.

Sun Valley Roofing is the worst company I have ever worked with. I bought the house and the roof was only 2 years old and was installed by Sun Valley Roofing. In the first year of living there it leaked. Sun Valley Roofing came out and "fixed" it. They guy only applied something from a tube. I thought, okay he know what he is doing. Sun Valley Roofing fixed the leak free of charge because of the warranty. I of course am responsible for the drywall repair on the ceiling. I have no issue with this. Fast forward a year later I have moved and decided to rent the home. The new tenant calls me saying the roof is leaking. I called Sun Valley Roofing to fix the repairs. The have no ideal who I am and I have to argue with them to go look at the house and do the repairs. Well, The work never go done due to I DONT KNOW. I kept calling and calling and calling and It was always my tenants fault because of, what ever reason. Sun Valley Roofing could come up with. The monsoons season was over and my tenant moved out. This brings us to now SEP 2016. My new tenant calls and tells me the same thing...The roof is leaking. I call Sun Valley Roofing and they go out. This time I receive a bill for over $500. They tell me that even thought it the same leak it not covered on the warranty. two weeks goes buy and guess what the same leak in the same place again. Now I call everyday and they tell me Oscar Gomez (the owner has my messages). The owner refuses to even call me. My current tenant is ready to move out also. I will be filling an complaint with the BBB

DO NOT USE!!! I hired Sun Valley to do my roof but it got delayed due to rain. Fine whatever. I know from experience it only really takes 2 to 3 days to put a roof on a house and I was only getting a new roof put on to make my insurance happy. No leaks or other problems. I get a call today saying they want to start tomorrow but wouldnt have my shingles in until next week. I told them I didnt want to have an exposed roof for 3 to 7 days with the weather and wanted to delay it until after he had the shingles in his possession ready to go. He refused and told me it would be extra to do that. Confused because I know having the shingles is common practice I asked for an explanation which he also refused to answer. Just kept saying I didn't know how roofs work and that the paper would prevent any and all leaks. I'm sorry but this is Arizona. No roofing paper slightly secured to your roof is going to protect much from our down pours. I fired him on the spot. Save yourself the headache and do not use.
