  Had a roof installation along with solar panels installed. In and out in 2 days (solar install included in that 2 days) and they did an incredible job. Very responsive in every way and did everything they promised. End product looked great and great workmanship. They knew what they were doing every step of the way.

  Used for solar. Got “free” roof. Clean up was not good but they did come back and clean up (I picked up over 300 nails with rolling magnet). Also once roof was off, price went up 2k as plywood needed to be replaced. Should have been told there was a chance of this. Didnt hear anything about solar for months as sales rep was let go. Once passed inspection nobody ever advised solar was active. I figured it out from tracking app. When needed assistance with completing application for rebates was sent mechanical plans and basically told by person in office he didn’t have to help but would. And he mentioned several times it wasn’t his responsibility. Spoke to manager who attempted to resolve issue. Gentleman called back and still insisted it wasn’t his job and the manager was”wrong”. Was told my electric bills would be almost nothing but still received decent size bill. Was told I was using a lot more electricity but hadn’t changed anything in house. Think I just fell thru the cracks during transition period but not happy with customer service and end result.

  Good Morning Peter. I am sorry to hear that you had some issues throughout your Roofing and Solar project. Hopefully I can address each on of your complaints below. 1. As for the plywood charge, there is a clause on your contract, as we can not see if there is any water damaged or rotten plywood until the roof has been removed. 2. Your contract was signed with Steve Whitman Roofing and Solar and we always make sure that our jobs are completed in a timely matter( unless there are circumstances out of our control) even if the sales rep is no longer with our company. 3. Regarding the time that had lapsed during your project, unfortunately with COVID all trades and businesses are experiencing significant delays due to the manufacturers, material shortages and staffing issues. 4. Our Solar department does assist all customers with setting up their SREC, TREC and Enphase/Solar Edge accounts. After everything is approved, an email is sent out with instructions on how to set everything up. We also follow up with a phone call just to confirm that the email was received and to answer any questions you may have. All though we can assist, there are some things that you as the homeowner will have to do / enter in order for the process to be completed. 5. Lastly, if you feel that your solar system is not producing or there may be an issue, please call our office at 732-295-0875. We will be more than happy to look into it.   My experience started with the salesman, Chris Gordnick. Chris was extremely informative and professional, he always checked in during to entire roof, solar and even gutter installations. Over the course of 2 to 3 weeks I had my entire roof replaced by a team of professionals that worked tirelessly and made me feel like I was their only priority, even the company owner Steve Whitman reached out himself to make sure I was satisfied with the project. The solar team was just as professional and definitely informative, they worked together like a well oiled machine. This team seemed like they were doing installments together for years. I would highly recommend this company!!!! Ask for Chris, he will answer any and all questions you may have if this is something your interested in. I have vetted several companies over the past 2 to 3 years and knew right away when I spoke to Chris that this was a company worth investing in. The owner, Steve is a down to earth guy and will go out of his way to make you feel appreciated for your business...HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!!
