I would highly recommend Stephen’s roofing. We had Josh P. out to inspect our metal roof after some concerns we had following the hail storm last year. He was very professional and had great recommendations that wouldn’t leave us financially drowning. Stephen’s roofing is not out to earn the biggest buck, that was evident with Josh’s advise. We really appreciate his honesty and dedication. Highly recommend!!

I enjoyed working with Stephen’s Roof and Josh Peg during the process of getting my roof replaced. He gave me lots of options and worked with my insurance to get me the best deal. I had been putting it off because I didn’t think my insurance would cover much, and since I’m retired I don’t have much to spare, but I was genuinely surprised at the out of pocket cost. Here’s to another 22 years with this roof.

This is my first review I am writing, but because of the high standard and quality of the product Stephens Roofing & Remodeling offers, I feel I should let the people of the internet know. I started by googling reputable roofing contractors in San Antonio and Stephens was the first company that resulted in the search. I called and the dispatcher and she was kind and took down all my information. She said their salesman Zane Jackson would call me to schedule an appointment. He called me an hour later and came the following day. He explained to me the different options I could choose from and the benefits of each types of roof. My wife and I had a decision to make, but more importantly Zane didn't pressure us at all. Once my wife and I chose to move forward, I called Zane and after he assured me I was making the right decision, he drew up the initial quote for me to sign. After I signed the agreement, Stephens Roofing took the reigns from there. That was just the beginning, the day of the install (10Jun2021), the crew supervisor explained to me the process and to use caution if I had to exit my home. They had a field supervisor/inspector, Tommy, who came out as well to make sure things were going accordingly and if I had any questions. They installed the roof in one day. The crew also cleaned the debris so good, you would never know a new roof had been installed.

The staff at Stephens Roofing and Remodeling have excelled in providing a full roof replacement service for my home.  Beyond the quality customer care provided by both office and field staff, the pricing is respectful for installation and preferred materials.  Office staff have been processional and responsive to each of my service needs, all of which were completed in a personable manner.  With our project having been initiated through an insurance claim for hail damage, Stephens provided a great road map for the process A to Z and coordinated directly with my insurance company on estimate approval touchpoints.  After being largely unsuccessful with many local roofers to obtain a starting estimate and return correspondence following, I was grateful to have received the frequent and open communication performed by Stephens start to finish.  If looking for a company to address roofing needs at your home, Stephens Roofing and Remodeling is a great place to start for a trouble free and trustworthy experience.

Very friendly and responsive to their customers.  Cared about the customer and providing them with a positive roof replacement experience. Josh answered all my questions and bent over backwards to ensure the roof replacement met his high standards.  Roofer's worked hard and took pride in their work.  The crew did an excellent job cleaning up after their work.  I liked after the work was completed the company inspected the roof to ensure the work was completed to a high standard.  They guaranteed their workmanship for 5 years. I would certainly recommend this company.

Great experience with my recent roof replacement.  Everyone I dealt with was professional and friendly; the sales representative,  the final inspector, the office staff and the installation crew.  The roof looks very nice.  They did a wonderful job of clean up after they finished.

Horrible service! I hired them to come out and repair a couple of places on my roof that I knew needed fixed. I was missing a couple of shingles in the middle and then I had damage from a tree in the front (the tree was cut back before they came out to survey my roof). The guy that came out to survey my roof said they would fix both spots as well as provide some preventive maintenance. They came out Tuesday, March 15 and were at my residence for MAYBE 1 hour tops. They only replaced the missing shingles in the middle of the roof and didn't even touch the area that has been damaged by the tree. I was also told BEFORE the service that after the work was completed they would have an INSPECTOR come by to collect payment. Saturday, March 19, LESS THAN A WEEK after they supposedly provided preventive maintenance work, I had multiple shingles fly off my roof.  I called them Monday and they said someone would by Tuesday morning to check it out; nobody came by. Thursday morning I receive an email and phone call asking for payment even though NO inspector had been by yet. I told them I'd be more than happy to pay them once they finished my roof. I spoke with Olivia and Jessica. Jessica told me she'd talk to the crew and get back with me as well as send someone out Friday morning. Nobody came out Friday morning and Jessica still hasn't gotten back to me. I had to call them AGAIN, and now they say someone will come out on Monday. Turns out my neighbor used to do roofing, he went up on my roof and apparently Stephen's Roofing didn't bother to actually survey my roof completely. My neighbor informed me I have fiberglass showing, wind damage, and a soft spot in my roof. NONE of which were addressed by Stephen's Roofing. I decided to educate myself more on roofing and this company is trying to charge me $750 for MAYBE 1 hour worth of work and about $50 worth of materials. I asked Olivia for an itemized receipt that included the price I was being charged for materials and labor and was told they don't do that. I don't even want to do business with this company anymore. They can come out, take the few replacement shingles they put on back and I'll pay them for the ONE hour of labor they did and then I'll hire someone else to replace my entire roof (since that needs done but Stephen's Roofing didn't bother to tell me).

Edit: I appreciate your quick response to my review. I wish your actual service held the same standard as your responses to negative reviews. However, it appears you didn't thoroughly read it as you didn't respond about your lack of professionalism (not thoroughly surveying the roof) and the fact that you're still asking for payment for incomplete and poor quality service. Also, if you check your phone calls (that you claim to record) you'll hear that the shingles came off 3 days BEFORE that storm you're referring to. Do you think I want to have to waste my time with you trying to get acceptable service? I just wanted to pay you to fix my roof. But now I'm having to make multiple phone calls and write reviews because your company wants to try and take advantage of people and rip them off for extremely poor quality work and customer service. The damage to my roof hasn't been fixed, AND now I'm going to have to hire a different company to replace the whole thing because y'all didn't tell me the condition of my roof in the first place. I have contacted the BBB about this and hopefully they can resolve this soon.

Thank you for your feedback. After reviewing the contract you signed, there was only one scope of work and preventative maintenance that was signed for. All of which has been complete with pictures to prove completion. We have recorded calls and you were never told that our Repair Crew would come back to fix the other portion of the roof, which was not included on the contract. We do however have records of us trying to contact you to schedule an inspection before collection and do in fact have an inspection scheduled for you on Monday. As for your shingles being blown off, we did have a significant storm after your repair was completed, which could’ve created the damage your neighbor found. We’d be happy to go back out and reassess the current condition of your roof and provide you with a new estimate. I’m sorry that you weren’t satisfied, but everything was complete and repaired according to the contract and status of your roof when our Reps went out to your home.

I am sorry you feel dissatisfied with our company.
We have aerial drone footage of your roof.
Your home had a small section of missing shingles.   Our pictures show this. Our representative has seen this, and our technicians.  You are now stating you have missing shingles all over your roof.  We’ve had 2 severe rain and wind storms since then.
We are sorry that these recent storms have caused damaged to your home.   These are natural forces of nature that we have no control of.  We have recording of you asking us to replace your whole roof for $2,500.  We have recording of you stating you only want to pay $200.00 for your repair.  Our company has a signed contract with you.  We performed the repair for the only damage area on your roof.
After listening to all your calls made to the office, we have come to conclusion that you just wanted a discount or sadly just didn’t want to pay. In closing, we hope your are satisfied with your roofing company that is installing a whole a roofing system for $2,500.  We are truly sadden that we couldn’t further assist you.

Had a bad leak coming from my roof after a big storm, called Stephen roofing they came out within few days and got me fixed up. Roof do not leak anymore and very nice respectable employees. Thank y’all.
