  Needed to add on to my pole barn, so asked for quotes from two local contractors (slim pickings in our part of west Michigan). Standard took it upon themselves to tell the quoting contractors who else was quoting the job....pretty damn unprofessional. One of the contractors called me, told me Standard told them who else was quoting the job, and declined to give me a quote because they didnt want to jeopardize their relationship with the other competing contractor. So much for getting competitive bids.....thanks Standard!

  For a small town lumber yard they have an excellent selection of you normal construction timber. They also carry a lot of interior home items like cabinets and doors. Everyone I've ever talked to there has been very helpful and nice
