We had a GREAT contractor experience with Spencer Roofing. First of all, Spencer was very competitive compared to other quotes we received. The crew that showed up was large, efficient and did a great job. When water damage was identified after tear off, Mike jumped right into carpentry mode at a very fair additional cost. Cleanup & follow-up was A-1. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

We had loose flashing flying in the wind on a very tall peak of our home.  I called and they came out immediately and took care of the problem.  Super nice guys.  Would highly recommend and will use them next time we need a roof or repairs done.

Mike Spencer helped us immensely by installing a new shingled roof on a new porch, which we had just built at our rental property. He did this within a day or two of contacting his company. He was courteous, friendly, professional and super-fair. Highly recommend! And, will call again for the next project.  Pro tip: Mike gives back, he sponsors girls softball (Interlakes Girls Softball League) in Commerce, where our daughter played!

Install crew left my property exactly how they found it every day. Professional and responsive to every question. Looks great and made it a pleasant experience.

Totally unreliable. Never showed up, never called. I wasted a day when they were supposed to show up to fix my roof. I then had to find another company and cost me more money. Now that I'm having my entire roof redone, I would definitely not ask them for an estimate.

First off... 10 Stars!  I was referred to Mike (and Spencer Roofing) through a friend that used them in 2007.  My initial call to the office was extremely pleasant.  The woman on the phone was very kind and helpful.  This is always a great start as I work in a customer service role of sorts myself.  When I spoke with Mike, he was every bit as personable and honest with me as my friend says he was with him many years ago.  Basically it's like meeting an old friend again.  I had water leaking into my home from an ice dam and Mike and his assistant Dwayne showed up right away to start clearing snow and ice from my roof while I was at work.  I couldn't believe the responsiveness!  Due to the thickness of the ice he wanted to return the next day to follow up on it and remove more to make sure it was fully under control; which is what he did.  I mentioned I was interested in a roof quote and after speaking with him he said that he didn't feel I really needed to spend money on a new roof at this time.  He offered suggestions on how I could help myself in the future rather than jumping on an opportunity to just take my money.  As a single father and first time home owner, I thought this was pretty amazing as I wasn't expecting that response.  I'm still interested in a roof quote given the age of my roof currently, so for sure we'll be meeting again.  I highly recommend Spencer Roofing for anyone looking for a fair and honest company to assist with any roofing work or help they may need.

my chimney cap was blown off in a rain and wind storm.. I contacted Spencer roofing and was astonished that my call was answered immediately by Mike.  a very personable man and offered his services the same day. Wow... I had called several other companies and was told I was on a list from 5 weeks to 2 months!! He and a helper arrived and checked out my issue only to find that whoever installed the chimney cap several years ago INSTALLED IT ON A COMPLETELY CEMENTED SLAB!!  THEY REFUSED PAYMENT AND WERE SO NICE !! You can't find people like that too often.  I would highly recommend them to anyone.  I know I will use them in the future if needed!!  They certainly know how to run their business and in a proper way!!

We used Spencer Knish Roofing for our gutters and they were quick, efficient and great value.  And two years later, when I had a concern, they came right out and inspected them.  Fortunately, there was no issue.

Mike was very easy to deal with, responsive and knowledgeable. Everyone at their company is pleasant and professional. We had numerous companies quote our roofing project, most were obnoxious "hard closers" looking to get a quick sale and move on. We chose Spencer due to the comfort and confidence we felt from Mike, he definitely kept his promises and they did an awesome job! Highly recommend!

Over the course of four months this summer, I met with TEN roofing companies to quote a replacement roof for our home and barn/shed.  In all, I reviewed 20 different proposals.  It was a tedious and time consuming project.  Some were grossly expensive and others were lacking in detail.  Mike McKnish and his Office Manager Katie Nicles won my business because they made a great impression on me from the very beginning.  They were quick to respond and had positive and courteous attitudes that you don't come by too often these days.  They were very thorough in answering my questions - and I had a lot of them!  Mike put together a proposal that offered high quality materials and a very good warranty with a price that I found to be very reasonable compared to the competition.  Mike took ownership of the project and put the same level of attention into our roof as if he were doing one on his own home.  The installation went perfectly and took two half-days to fully tear-off the old roof and replace everything.  Mike supervised every aspect of the job from beginning to end and his crew did a thorough clean-up of the worksite before leaving.  For all of these reasons, I give them my highest recommendation!
