  We hired Southeast General Contractors to put a new roof on house – changing from shingle to metal roof – to get a top-of-the-line roof that would last us the rest of our lives as it came with a 20-year manufacturer warranty. Southeast General Contractors did not supervise their third party hired workers – who are inexperienced, negligent, unprofessional, and careless – on the job site other than showing up once a day or so for maybe 10 minutes when there was an issue. Southeast Contractors abandoned our roofing job ½ way through for 10 days during major rainstorms. It took Southeast General Contractors almost two months to finally start then “finish” our roof, which was never truly finished. We spoke with Southeast Contractors Managing Partner at our home, on our property, and the Managing Partner agreed the roof components were installed incorrectly AND components were missing AND the Top Ridge Vent need to be reordered AND replaced due to the other incorrectly installed components. Two days later, the Owner of Southeast Contractors intentionally called the County in to approve and close the permit anyway, even though you could also clearly see from the road that the gutters and downspouts were not even reinstalled. From the very beginning, we told Southeast Contractors multiple times we wanted to accompany the County Inspector throughout the Permit Audit and Closing; however, Southeast General Contractors deceitfully sent a signed affidavit into Escambia County and intentionally requested a County Inspector out to approve and close the permit from the road while we were not home. Southeast pushed all their trash and debris into our attic and left it there AND wrecked our yard AND our white house siding AND multiple window screens AND did not properly clean up roofing nails in the yard resulting in two flat lawn tractor tires. My husband and father-in-law were forced to reinstall our gutters just before a tropical storm event. The affidavit from Southeast Contractors was dated and notarized March of 2021, before they even set foot on our property in May 2021 to begin tear off with the metal for the roof not even being ordered until the day after they started tear off. After speaking to Executive Management of the Metal Roof Manufacturer because Southeast Contractors did not abide by installation requirements, the Manufacturer will not provide any warrantee whatsoever for our roof. The owner of Southeast Contractors refuses to fix these needs to obtain the warranty and declines to tear down the roof to install to meet to the proper manufacture requirements and specifications for warrantee and for wind mitigation certification requirements for the metal roof. He has been extremely dishonest, deceptive, and dishonorable.

  After it was determined that we needed a new roof, my husband called about four roof companies to get estimates. We found SGC to be very professional and offered a fair price. Southeast General Contractors was highly recommended by a neighbor, who also had his roof done by SGC and was extremely satisfied. During the process of the roofing job, they kept us updated with progress and timetable. They were extremely neat while working and conscious of our landscape around our home. We also have skylights, absolutely no problems ... I would highly recommend Southeast General Contractors - our roof looks great !!!

  In January 2017, after Matthew had come through, we did not feel much damage had been incurred at our home. After review by our insurance company, it was determined a great deal more than we knew had happened to our roof. After checking with HomeAdvisor, we had several contactors come out with estimates and repair ideas. We chose Southeast General Cnotractors. So glad we did! On time, pleasant, knowledgeable and professional. In Florida, that is saying alot. We highly recommend them from their professionalism to caring for the consumer. 5 stars without a doubt.
