  We had Matt quote a new flat roof on our home. The quote Matt provided had all material prices whited out and only replacing rotten fiberboard with new fiberboard, not the whole roof. Quote was up to 17,000+. No warranty offered. When we asked questions through text and called, we had no response. We had two other quotes, with 20 year warranties, priced at $10,500 and $12,100. Would not recommend.

  We did respond we warranty our work 5 years and that was texted to you from our main office location , and materials pricing if it’s whited out that means because it’s subject to change especially with Covid still being around material prices jump week to week so we don’t like to mislead customers into thinking that a quote holds for longer then a week because of the pricing jumping so much , we apologize for Inconvenience and Miss communication but we responded to your text about warranty question infact we still have it saved on our computer through text reply, sorry again wish you well in your roofing needs future. Our product warranty is 25 years our work is 5 years and each company quotes different material through different purchasing places and we use thicker gauge rubber roofing then most and higher weather sustainability seam tape so that could have been why ours was much higher

  I chose Shears Roofing after several interviews with roofers and researching roofing companies within the area. Matt had consistent reviews which made me feel good, and my experience with the company was also a consistently positive one throughout the process. Scheduling a time to meet was seamless, and Matt the owner came in person to talk with our needs. We have a smaller house that was well overdue for a new roof. I had never had to choose a shingle before and found that process to be overwhelming -- like picking paint colors but even harder to know what the final effect will be!! Matt was extremely patient and also insightful, giving us a few recommendations, samples of shingles, and accompanying us to view his past work on other homes. He even came back to help us with a venting question when we changed a vent on our flat roof. Overall we were very happy with our new roof and would use Shears roofing again!

  Shears roofing crew did an amazing job, Their crew was professional the entire time on the job , he addressed every issue that I wanted fixed and that he also recommended to be updated. Very very pleased matt is a great young man to work with , in fact I’ve recommended him to many customers , and have hired his crew to do my vacation house in Florida as well . A good roofing company is hard to find and if you feel that way look no more because matt and his crew are very amazing at what the do.
