      I called Servpro for a flooded basement from a leaky old water heater. The problem area was essentially one carpeted room. Response time was great. I was comfortable with their knowledge in the field. They were friendly with myself and my dog, and the team was professional and respectful up until time of payment. I feel like they succeeded in mitigating water damage, and preventing mold in my home, which is a very big deal. The one issue I had was what I believe may have been the result of a failed communication between team member. I was told before work began that the baseboard along one wall would be sprayed, as there were some dark flecks on the bottom of the baseboard, along one of it's five sections (the middle one). When the work was performed, all five sections of the baseboard along that wall were torn out, and they were never put back. At the end of about a week of work, i was handed my final bill, and a satisfaction survey, and was asked to fill it out. It was at this point, I asked if the baseboard was going to be re-attached, and I was told by a team member that wasn't present at the beginning of things that all five sections of the baseboard had been thrown out. I received a call, and I was told by the original person that I spoke with that the paperwork I originally signed clarifies that they don't do restoration work. As a homeowner, I think a change from "we're going to spray your baseboard", to "we threw out your baseboard" is significant, because it means I need to locate the proper one, have it delivered or picked up in someone else's truck, and measured and cut into five sections with a tool that can handle the job, and have the end cut at a 45 degreee angle with a separate tool that can manage that job. This is significant information that could've been passed onto me prior to me making a final payment and giving my satisfaction ratings on the survey. I think it is important for the company and for future customers to recognize the importance of communication. If a customer is told to expect something, then future team members should know what that customer expects, and keep them informed of any and all changes to their homes from what they were told that they can expect. Nobody wants to get a last minute surprise, and then be told what was written in the paperwork that they signed; as if you're supposed to ignore what they the professionals tell you, and just pay careful attention to the documentation instead. As someone who is unfamiliar with the subject, I also don't know why all sections of the baseboard had to be removed, when not all sections were in areas of direct moisture. Is it due to indirect moisture? If so, then why not remove the baseboards along the other walls? This would have been another beneficial thing to discuss with the professionals regarding the change while in progress. If not for this one thing, i would have given a high star rating, but I believe this one thing is significant.

      Absolutely incredible service. I’ve never dealt with a company where they were professional, courteous and so hard working. Fred and crew were exceptional to deal with. Fred answered all questions, found damage areas I hadn’t seen and always nice when communicating with me. They were here 6-1/2 hours and I never heard a complaint and it was hard work. I have to shout out to Ray and his assistant who were here on last day…great clean up and also very nice to deal with. I highly recommend to anyone and everyone!
