SB Handyman restored our 1940’s antique chairs that were really rusted. He cleaned, sanded, wire brushed, primed and painted our chairs. Did a really awesome and professional job. Here are some pictures of the work

I called SB Handyman to have a portable AC unit assembled. Holden (the owner) responded quickly and put me in touch with Kevin, who works for him. Kevin was not what I expected, after having read the reviews about SB Handyman. After setting up my appointment for the next day, Kevin asked me to call him around noon (the day of the appointment), to find out what time to expect him. I found this odd, as I would expect the service provider to update me on their own. So, the day of my appointment, I contacted Kevin, as requested, to find out what time he'd be by. He called me and asked if there was anyway to move my appointment to the following day (which was Father's Day). Apparently, he was working on a project at the time. I told him no, as I had changed my complete schedule around that day to be available for the appointment. So, he said he'd be over around 2pm. At 1:30pm, he called me and told me he wouldn't be to my house until around 2:30, as his project was holding him up. When he did show up, he was wearing what looked like swim trunks and he didn't have any tools with him. He ended up assembling the AC unit, but, did not clean up after himself, didn't turn on the unit to make sure it worked and did not assemble/test the remote. He also left a filter off the unit, that I found after he left. When Holden contacted me a couple of days later to find out how things went, I told him that I wasn't happy with Kevin. Holden (the owner) sounded surprised, but failed to ask what happened. So, I told him that Kevin was unprofessional, not dressed appropriately, that his attention to detail was poor and so was him communication. Holden still did not ask any questions, but, told me that Kevin was a new hire. I was stunned, that the owner of a company would not pick up the phone and call a customer who said these things to him (we had been communicating via text at the time). I did pay for the service, because the service "was provided", but I will never use this company again. Holden had a chance to make this right for me, by taking me seriously, and convincing me that this was not acceptable and apologizing. But, he failed to do that. In today's business environment, amazing customer service and engagement are very important. I received neither. Consider yourself warned.

I really apologize about the situation. I contacted you from my personal cell to talk about your concerns and discussed via text too. We also provided a refund for the 1hr of work. Kevin was a new hire and I should of made sure he did all the little things right such as wearing appropriate attire, cleaning up and communicating clearly for scheduling. Will be a valuable learning experience so we take care of those things for the future. I apologize this happened and appreciate the honest feedback. Holden

SB handyman did a wonderful job power washing my deck and resealing it. Our deck is directly in the sun, so he was helpful and adjusted his schedule to do it when the sun was not directly on it so the sealer could dry in a cool temperature. I highly recommend SB Handyman.
