Ben came out and inspected the roof, told us what we needed and then performed the work very professionally and in a short amount of time. I would recommend him if you need something done fast and at a reasonable rate.

Ben made a great pitch to get our business. His estimate was higher than the others we got, but he went into great detail about the superior roof he would build. The work was mostly done by Spanish-speaking-only workers, and Ben rarely visited the worksite. There were several major defects in their work. Within a couple of months of completion, the (Brai) roof leaked badly during a big rainstorm, ruining the sheetrock in our bedroom ceiling. The additional, new skylight Roofing USA installed leaked from the get-go. My biggest complaint is that as part of the $17K re-roofing job, they removed the original sheet-metal canales that were long enough to direct roof drainage water away from the stucco exterior and onto the ground instead. They replaced those original canales with very short canales that directed roof drainage water directly onto our bedroom windows. During the afore-mentioned big rainstorm the water from the new canales overpowered the bedroom window seals and flooded the inside of the bedroom wall below the windows, ruining the sheetrock and the wood flooring below. Ben insisted that the short canales were correctly designed, even though my informal survey of existing canales in our neighborhood showed that longer canales were typical for homes using that form of roof drainage (as opposed to drainpipes, which were less common).. Their warranty only does one thing: they will come out and attempt to repair the roof when it leaks. But they won't come out right away. They took over a week to come out and we found out that the warranty didn't cover any of the damage, even though it was caused by defective work. They did eventually replace the canales with much longer ones and repaired the hole in the roof over the bedroom and fixed the skylight leak. About a year after the work (2018), they stopped answering calls and abruptly disappeared. Later we heard that they had apparently filed for bankruptcy, leaving their customers high and not-so dry. They seem to be back in business now (March, 2021). If they are, stay away from them and try to find a roofing company that has been in business for many years and has a good, confirmed track record. Getting a recommendation for a roofer that a trusted friend has used is probably your best way of getting a reliable, honest company. We had to use our home insurance policy ($1K deductible) to fix the ceiling and wall sheetrock and replace the wood floor. Ben and Roofing USA talked a good line, but their work was deficient from the start and they didn't react promptly when the roof failed. Ben never would admit that the new canales were not designed properly.

Very disappointed. I paid Roofing USA to completely re-roof my house in Nov 2015 (9/30/15), and asked to see each step of the job to ensure the wood underneath got replaced if needed. I was told I could see AND it would be documented in writing and with photos. They didn't tell me anything til it was finished and there's not a single photo before or after. After the first snow it started leaking all the way into the house! Water was still pooling everywhere even though they said they added proper sloping/drainage. In early 2016 they completely re-roofed it again...and AGAIN I wasn't shown any progress steps or what was underneath/replaced. I wasn't even given documentation. This time they sealed up one of the 2 swamp coolers in a hurry and now the winterizer sheet no longer fits in there to close it off from weather. The roof has leaked in multiple places again and into light fixtures inside the house EVERY time it rains since then. I have called multiple times every few months and I'm always told that the "owners are out but will call me back." It's August 2018 and I still haven't received their call or a resolution yet. I ended up just having a handyman repair it correctly the first time. I'm VERY dissatisfied and would NEVER recommend or use this company again...Low quality materials, bogus warranty, unprofessional and non-existent customer service. Leaks lead to mold over time, and my tenants could possibly pursue legal action because this has happened so consistently.
Response from the owner
Hello Chrissy i am sorry you had this problem. I am always in the office and have yet received a call from you unless you ask specifically for the owner and did not say anything about your situation. What goes on is if you ask for the owner specifically we think it is a sales call but we do always ask if we can help. In your situation you would of wanted to tell us what is going on and we would have made the correct procedures in order to get someone out to your house. I am the CEO and if me or my office manager would have received a call to where we could help you we would have. We honor our warranty unless someone else works on the roof we put on. Unfortunately at this point since someone else has worked on the roof we cannot honor the warranty. I do wish that you had let the office know (which the phone number is 505-414-0434) your situation and we would have gotten it taken care of. The only time we received a phone call was yesterday and we where taking the proper action until this was written and we where told that someone else worked on the roof.
