I would recommend Renaissance Roofing without any hestitation. For the estimate, they showed up on time and did an evaluation of our roof, offering to show me the situation (but when I chickened out on the roof, so they sent me photos so I could see what conditions they found.) They gave a professional, detailed quote. When I accepted the quote, they gave me an approximation of when the work would be done. For the work, they came when they said they would come. The crew consisted of 2 owners and one helper, all of whom were polite. They did a great job, actually doing more than what was on the quote because of the condition of our roof, but they only charged me what was on the quote. They cleaned up every day after their work. The roof looks great and the job seems to be excellent. We've had one major rainstorm since the work was done and all of the leaks are gone. So in summary, they showed up on time, they were nice and polite, they did the work they said would do and more, they charged me in accordance with the quote, the quality was great and they were easy to deal with. Really, a great experience and a great quality job. I would recommend them whole heartedly.

Outstanding job. I would recommend Jesse to anyone and certainly would hire him again myself. I could not be happier with the roof, which is slate. Keep in mind that I work with slate daily carving letters. I am VERY fussy about quality of workmanship. So, I have an appreciation for slate work which is done right. I needed a slate roof installed on our guesthouse. First, the roofer, Jesse, had to remove the existing shingles and copper valleys, peak and bathroom vents and remove the gutters (which are made of wood). That can be a problem for a homeowner due to to nails which might not be captured which end up on the lawn adjacent to the house. No problem there. The work was done very neatly. The roofing was removed without any residue (nails) left on the ground. Next, underlay must be installed and peaks, valleys and bathroom vents had to be duplicated. Again, no problem with any of that. The new metal looks great and, as I watched it being installed, I could see that it was done exactly as it should be done. Then the shingles had to be installed. We agreed that recovered shingles from a barn roof in VT would be best to use. They are thicker than that we could buy new and they are the color I wanted. In addition, they have a patina to them which looks far better than if the slates were all identical. Finally, they replaced the gutters. Jesse is a craftsman in the old world style. Good guy. Who does great work and takes pride in doing the best job he can.

This guy looks just like captain junior from deadliest catch. What a great guy he is...prices are low and does great work...especially his employee that makes anything out of copper.. what a team those two are...he needs a raise...my opinion
