  Six stars if I could give them. An A+++++ experience from start to finish. Ryan came to my house after our first call, showed up on time, impressed me, and never let us down after that. I will tell you, with outstretched arms and jumping up and down, that even though I never wanted to spend money on a roof, I feel great after buying a roof from Proven. I loved Ryan's responsiveness, professional (yet still friendly) attitude, and overall how he took care of us. I judge contractors carefully, and I'd say Ryan is ON his game and head-and-shoulders above the typical "Maybe I'll show up" home repair dope with ladders piled on his beater-truck. (Last guy we had fix a leak, who we found in the West Essex Tribune, had three teeth and fewer brain cells) Every part of our buying process with Proven was just a pleasure! We replaced our entire roof (two old roofs underneath), incl new gutters/ downspouts, new vents, and it took two days. I thought all the Facebook raves from Livingston Dads were from guys he knew, but I didn't know him. Ryan was here when he said he'd be here, brought samples when he said he would, did the work on time and right. The office secretary or answering service was able to handle most things when we called, and she gave good answers when they couldn't. They were a joy to deal with at every turn. I've been in a family service contracting business years ago and I've trained other service contractors at a conference I used to organize. These guys are the example every other contractor should learn from. Friendly, attentive, never had to wonder if they would show up, we got a certificate of insurance (which the first roof guy we tried never managed to produce) and you want that if 6-8 guys are going on your roof. They left everything clean. Yes, we had a guy quote us a little bit less (the guy with no insurance) and I've got no regrets going with Proven. They even did a couple of minor siding-shingle repairs related to the roof but not part of the roof, without charging. This is a no-brainer. Best choice we made all year for a contractor. If they did brakes and tires, I'd take my car there! Also, when buying a roof, don't spend too much time picking a color. You'll prob. never see your own roof, we realized after fretting over one color vs. another. Give these guys the job. You won't regret it. A+++++

  Dave and Ryan were such a pleasure to work with! We replaced our entire roof and are so happy with the results! If you're looking for a reliable and honest group of guys, Proven Contracting is it. Would recommend to anyone in NJ.
