Kellen came out the same day I called to do an estimate.  I had several other estimates but after meeting Kellen I knew I wanted him to do my house.  He quoted me a fair price and was able to do the work within a week.  Winston and Remy were meticulous about the prep by laying plastic down and taping everything off.  The thing that stands out most about their work is the evenness of the application of sprayfoam. I had an energy auditor do an inspection the day they finished spraying and he was very complimentary about the quality of the work and the consistency of the sprayfoam depth. They left my house cleaner than it was when they started.  I would highly recommend contacting Precision Applications if you are considering doing sprayfoam.

High quality spray foam applicators - they use new equipment and a very good product (check with them direct, but I read the data sheets and it was clearly a good product). My space is a bit challenging and they made it happen - very much a can-do spirit out of Winston and Rembert. I appreciate how responsive Kellen was, and he was much easier to deal with than some of the other folks I called around to. Anyhow, a very positive experience overall. Thanks guys!

Kellen and his crew did a great job,they were very pleasant to work with and made sure to clean up everything. The price is high,but after a couple of years you realize how much you save in heating and AC, it is well worth it. The first winter, my heating co.called because the amount of oil I used dropped off so much, they wanted to know why.

Precision Applications is amazing.  The owner, Kellan, is involved start to finish.  He and his helper, Chris, were professional, efficient, and very thorough.  They were able to complete our entire basement (spray foam and intumescent paint on the walls and ceiling) in under 2 days.  As the detail-oriented wife of a former contractor, it goes without saying that we have high expectations of any contractors we hire.  Precision Applications did not disappoint.

I could go on forever, but there are a few particular things worth noting:

1) Not all contractors are created equal.  We got three estimates for the job and three different answers on what needed to be done in our basement.  Ultimately Kellan got our business because he doesn't cut corners.  It was apparent that he takes pride in his work and holds himself/his work to a high standard.

2) Not all projects go as planned, but having a good contractor makes all the difference.  During our prep (ie: getting everything out of the basement) we discovered a small section of framing that needed replacing.  That small hole turned into a 30ft span and 3 weeks of delays.  Kellan was incredibly flexible and understanding when we needed to reschedule, then reschedule again.

3) Communication is important.  The process was explained from start to finish so we knew how to prepare and what to expect.  The only surprise was how quickly they were able to get everything done and how clean it was.

4) Spray foam is superior to fiberglass insulation for so much more than just the R-value!  If you've done your research, you know all the reasons why spray foam is superior, but let me tell you, if for nothing else, get spray foam because of mice.  The removal of our old fiberglass insulation was horrific.  The rodent activity - poop, urine, nuts and debris, staining, smell, carcasses - was dangerously unhealthy and beyond disgusting.  We have pest control, but mice happen.  Without a doubt, fiberglass insulation should not be used in basements or garages in New England.  Spray foam is the way to go!

I am incredibly grateful to Kellan and Chris for all of their hard work.  I wish all contractors had the same work ethic and attention to quality and detail.
