I bought my house in 2002. We were in contact with Overhead Construction at the time because the previous owner was getting the roof replaced but left off what we (my parents and I) thought was an important piece. We paid them to complete that portion to the chagrin of the previous owner (who attempted to get them to disregard the work even though we were paying for it to be done). All worked out and I moved in August 2002. In 2017 I noticed some shingles missing and we decided to call Overhead Construction as they had done such a good job communicating with us 15 years earlier. Bryan came out, climbed the roof and noticed there was more damage than I thought. He contacted my insurance company and they sent out an adjuster who surveyed the roof with Bryan. He agreed the whole roof needed to be replaced. Bryan worked with the insurance company and got paid from them for everything except my deductible and some incidentals. The work done was fantastic and completed in a timely manner... once it finally got started anyway. Bryan said the hot days of summer were the best time to get the shingles put on and we originally were looking at July to get it done. July came and went and I didn’t hear from Bryan. Finally we spoke in August and rescheduled. I was a little concerned about the day he scheduled it, because the forecast called for rain that day. Sure enough it rained and after not hearing from Bryan, I contacted him and he said we had to reschedule again. He chose the following week. Looking at the forecast it was supposed to rain, but it stopped the day before. I didn’t hear from him saying anything to the contrary so I thought he’d show up... nothing. The day after he contacts me to reschedule again saying it can’t rain that close. We rescheduled for the last week of August. Nothing happened. I finally got ahold of him in September when the temperature had cooled significantly rescheduled and this time it all got done. Naturally Bryan wanted me to give him a review as soon as possible. I decided that I would respond in the same manner as he treated me. Here I am almost 4 years later finally giving my positive review. Communication is the key. Bryan gave me almost none between the time of my giving him a down payment in July and finally getting the work done in September. Other than lack of communication, I am pleased with my roof, with Overhead Construction and will most likely contact them again if needed in the future. Hopefully with a 20 year shingle “warranty” the roof will last 15 years like it did last time and I won’t need to replace it until 2032 (fingers crossed). If communication had been better this would have been a 5 star review. Bryan also put me in contact with a company that handles gutters. They were worked on at the same time and I’m “pleased as punch” and if I can find out who they were will review them separately. The gutters haven’t had any leaves in them and the different idea certainly works just as well as a “gutter helmet” if not better.

Brian was a real professional, very experienced in his field. Followed through in an extremely timely manner on the exterior job, and the crew he uses for indoor paint and dry wall repair was spectacular. House is looking amazing, could never tell there was water damage!!! If you are looking for a strait shooter Id highly recommend you give Brian a call.

We contacted Overhead Construction in mid-May, 2020, regarding a needed roof repair. Bryan Eggebraaten scheduled a time to come look at the situation within a couple weeks, and ultimately scheduled the job for completion in late July. We've waited this long to submit a review as we wanted some time to see how the repairs held up under different weather conditions. Since then, we've had heat, humidity, heavy rains, below-freezing temps, snow and a couple of freeze-thaw cycles. So far, this roof repair seems to holding up nicely - no more water leaking on to the porch roof below. The cost of the repair seemed reasonable; we enjoyed working with Bryan and appreciated his measured, thoughtful and thorough approach. We would recommend Overhead Construction to others. We have an open air balcony off a second-story bedroom; the balcony is situated over a covered, wrap-around porch. The balcony floor is constructed of a rubberized membrane, with sleepers on top of that and deck boards on top of the sleepers. There are two scuppers for drainage leading from one side of the balcony deck out onto the porch roof overhang below. A number of years ago we noticed water leaking through and dripping from the underside of the porch roof. We tried a couple of things but were unable to determine and correct the source of the leak. Bryan made a very thorough and considered assessment of the situation, which included stepping from the balcony out onto the porch roof overhang. In doing so, he discovered the roof decking was damaged and would need to be replaced. He suspected a leaky scupper as the source of the problem. He removed one of the two scuppers and took it to a metal fabricator to have two new galvanized steel scuppers custom-made, with improvements over the original design. In the meantime, he temporarily covered and sealed the area where the scupper was removed. Neither of the other two contractors who came out to look at the situation noticed the porch roof deterioration; they suggested replacing the rubber membrane under the balcony deck boards but didn't feel it would be necessary to replace the scuppers. Overhead’s work also included a new rubber membrane under the balcony decking, and replacing some of the roof shingles and some metal capping. Bryan was sensitive to our desire to match color and type to existing shingles and other house detailing, even though those materials were harder to come by. Bryan provided a detailed written estimate which clearly laid out the specifics of the work to be done. Without prompting, he arranged for a porta-potty to be on site for his people the day the work was done. His crew was lively, friendly, respectful, hard-working and safety-conscious. They got the job done in one day, and cleaned up the site nicely before leaving.
