  I tried to use this buisness. Mr. Everett came out, looked at the project and said he'd have a quote by the end of the following week. When that quote never materialized, I contacted him, thinking it may have gotten lost in email. He explained he and his wife had been on vacation and would have the quote ready by week's end. He also, rather oddly, stated that the project looked like it wasn't an emergency and could wait. It may not be an "emergency," but all customers should expect timely responses and professionalism. It's not really his call what level of importance to assign to a customer's project. I waited two more weeks, and still received no quote. I think what angers me the most is that Mr. Everett wasted so much of my time when I could have instead gotten someone respectful and competent to do the job.

  Response from the owner

  As a one man small business, I have only the weekends or evenings after working all day to look at new potential projects, put bids together and prepare for the coming week’s objectives. Additionally, I do my best to give each project my undivided attention which sometimes means that I take a bit longer to compile a bid than expected. I am not making excuses for failing to get you a free estimate in a timely manner. There is no excuse for that and I understand why you are so upset with my lack of professionalism in this instance. I apologize for the burden I caused you by wasting your time and hopefully God will help you to forgive me. I appreciate your help showing me my lack of professionalism and I will strive to do better in the future to other prospective clients.
