  We contracted Torren from Oak Leaf construction to do some remodel work on our home, and we were very pleased with his work. he installed several windows, did drywall and trim work, and completed a color change inside, including the trim.. He also helped pour and finish a 12x20 concrete pad for our new shed. He was very prompt and his quality of work was fair and honest. My husband was a general contractor for many years, and we have built several homes and remodeled three homes in the last ten years and would hire him again.

  This contractor pads invoices and charges you for hours/time they do not actually work on you project. We agreed to a time and materials project, Ralph wants to charge people rates that are used to quote jobs then charges hourly. In addition, he believes he should get forty hours a week regardless if he actually works on your T&M project. He returned materials he did not use but never refunded our money. He asked me to buy certain items, one item was a very nice door, the door was too large and I explained how it could be modified to work. He suggested I return the door and he would find a custom sized door. He said Lewis at Home Depot found the exact door and could order it so I gave the go ahead. After I Oak Leaf for being dishonest and padding, I went and talked with Lewis who told me he never found or ordered a custom door for Ralph. He said Ralph talked to him about how it could be modified to work. It turns out the method they talked about was my method. Oh, and Lewis should work on his customer service. Anyway, Ralph has no honor and lies for a few bucks. Oh, and he is kind of a moron because the work the crew did is about a six out of ten on drywall, eight out of ten for framing but two out of ten for concrete repair but we were discussing a larger job that could of paid the crew for several months but Ralph's shady practices cost him and the crew a much larger amount of cash. Use strict caution and manage everything or these people will steel, lie and cheat you!

  Ralph did a remodel for us recently and we could not have been more pleased. It was a rental in need of various upgrades without spending a tremendous amount of money. In the bathroom Ralph did nearly floor to ceiling including refinishing a cast iron tub. Also removing an old decaying wood window, tiling the tub surround. Kitchen countertops had to be replaced, eliminating 60 year old plywood covered in linoleum, replacing with home depot custom countertops amid the less than square walls of a 1950s house. Ralph did all the legwork and made sure the kitchen turned out perfect. We felt blessed we found Ralph, or he found us! I highly recommend his work and his honest values!
