Neil did a great job walking me through the claims process. Once approved by the insurance company NC Roofing set up the material delivery & install dates. All went exactly to plan and on time. Did a great job cleaning up and notifying Insurance company of completion. Very pleased with the service.

NC Roofing LLC is the most unprofessional company I have ever had to deal with. We closed on our home on August 12, 2019. NC Roofing replaced the roof on our home on August 7, 2019, FIVE DAYS before we closed on our home. They were hired by the seller to replace the roof during the due diligence period, with the understanding that the home was under contract, and consequently the roof was replaced for the new owner, which is me. The seller, as well as their agent, accordingly wanted the workmanship warranty to be transferable and in my significant other's name. NC Roofing claims to have "no affiliation" with us since the contract was with the seller, even though the home was under contract with us and they replaced the roof less than a week before we bought the home. The shingles started falling off only SIX MONTHS after the roof was installed. They continued to fall in multiple areas during the next few months (pictures provided). Initially we did not know who replaced our roof. This led to us having two other licensed roofing companies inspect the roof and evaluate what had gone wrong. Both companies claimed the shingles were nailed improperly and that the whole roof needs to be replaced because we will continue to have issues. One of the contractors even took photos of a shingle with the nail holes and provided a diagram with the same type of shingle with the proper nail installation so that we could see just how incorrectly they were nailed on our roof. These images are provided in the review. Eventually, we were informed by the seller's agent that NC Roofing was the company that installed our roof. My significant other tried calling the owner, Chip Pope, multiple times as well as sending him emails. After a few days another representative of NC Roofing reached out to us to coordinate a time to stop by. They had two different people look at our roof. The first person who came to our home hardly spoke any English and went into our fenced in backyard without even informing us he had arrived at our home.... that is TRESPASSING. After inspecting the roof he told us he was done and he went back to his vehicle. He did not leave for several minutes. We even had a package delivered. Eventually he came back to the front of our house when we were back inside and took some of the shingles that were on the ground and were evidence to their improper installation. We have video evidence of both of these occurrences. The second person who came out later in the day was Jeff. He said that NC Roofing will help us with the front of our house but that he will have to get back to us about the workmanship warranty. Jeff even mentioned that the person who nailed the front may have been using a nail gun that was not properly calibrated and this may have been the cause. Additionally, he informed us that the first person who came out from their company was one of the people who installed our roof. A few days later, Jeff emailed me and said, "With regards to the warranty. With regards to the warranty And see roofing does not transfer warranties. We are more than happy to accommodate you.Per pur last conversation there are some areas on the front slope where Shingles have come loose." They do not appear to proofread their emails as I have several other emails from them with improper English and poor grammar... very unprofessional. According to the company's website, they "stand behind our work. 100% guaranteed installation with unparalleled warranties" and "100% satisfaction". This is very contradictory to not only their work, but also their warranties. NC Roofing also claims that our problems were due to storm damage as per an inspection from an "independently owned licensed roofing company". This inspection was conducted by the FIRST person who came to our house from NC Roofing and was one of the installers of our roof. He is accordingly not a reliable inspector as he was one of the installers, and thus has a conflict of interest and is biased. That is WRONG. I would not recommend this company, they will hurt you more than help you!

    Response from the owner

I NEVER give door salesmen a job. Never. Jeff changed that, however. He professionally explained the process of checking my roof (I made sure he wouldn't damage it during his inspection), contacting my insurance, and payment scenarios. Turned out we had a good insurance claim that covered a new roof and gutters and inside ceiling painting. He took care of all contracting, was onsite when needed, and walked me through color choices. Very happy with our new roof and gutters.
