Tyler and Raleigh were very informative and easy to work with. They walked us through the claims process and worked with our insurance adjuster to make sure that nothing was missed. The replacement of the roof took two days. Our insurance policy is nearly half its cost with Esurance because it's a newer roof. Our property is on the market now and we hope to attract buyers by letting them know that they won't have to worry about replacing the roof anytime soon. We are happy with the work and the Morris team.

I met Morris Roofing & Construction when I saw them roofing a house in my neighborhood, and I stopped and asked them to give quote one roof for me. They ended up roofing three houses for me in the summer of 2018. One house that MR&C roofed for me was a 1905 Victorian, one was a two-story 1980s house, and the other was a simple 800-square-foot rental house. The 1905 was particularly challenging, as it was tall, steep, and with a lot of cuts in the roof line. That house had the original cedar shake shingles attached to lath, in addition to four asphalt composition layers on top of that. MR&C removed all of the roofing down to the lath, decked the roof, repaired the perimeter of the roof (soffit, facia, etc.), and re-roofed it with 25-year architectural shingles. The work was excellent, and the managers were steadily involved with me and the crew to make sure it progressed as described. All questions and issues I had were addressed thoroughly as we moved along. Any issues I raised where they did not have an immediate answer were researched before the answer was given. This was a hard job, and they did it right. The real win for me was that the insurance adjuster was not in the ballpark with his offered settlement, and MR&C saw that right away and negotiated with the adjuster to land the payment in the right place. The final payout was four times what they adjuster originally offered. The two-story 1980s house was considerably less challenging than the Victorian, but it has a gambrel roof with four dormers in the second story, so presented a few challenges for the crew. We used a 25-year architectural single and removed the original roof, which was similar to what was being installed. MR&C worked with a different insurance company for this project and achieved about the same result as with the Victorian. We had them add custom seamless gutters to this house, and the work was excellent. The 800-square-foot house that they roofed for me had four or five layers of shingles to be removed. I held them up so I could finish repairing some extensive rot in the deck and soffit. They offered to do the work, but I wanted to get the experience, and then they finished removing the many layers, and roofed it with 25-year architectural shingles. The result was exactly what I had hoped for. Tyler, Raleigh, and their crew chiefs were professional, diligent, honest, and eager to do good work. I know a fair amount about construction and do my own repairs, and I was involved all along the way on each of my projects, but I learned that it is important to listen to their recommendations and consider following their suggestions. They want the job to be right, and they delivered for me.
