These guys dropped the ball on a pretty large order (flatbed truck full of stuff) and didn’t let us know - we only found out when we called to check what time they’d be showing up that they in fact only had half of our order in stock to deliver to us. No notification at all. We got stuck scrambling to find materials the day of a job, even though we had ordered and paid the invoice a month ahead. We were really depending on them and it ended up costing us. We won’t be shopping here again.

Before I get into my complaints I'd like to first say that the employees are very personable and friendly, so no problems there except for one guy who was a bit rude about how the wood selection would go. Obviously the 4 reviews (hardly a broad set of people) aren't too accurate. Out of the 130 fence picket boards I bought I've had to repair 30 of them due to big splits in the wood, as well as discovering another 30 were warped in unfixable ways, such as boards that curve to the side ( can't fix it unless you want the width to lose an inch or two). I had bought a bunch of 2×4's as well, and 1/3 of those had ugly defects, too, so then I had to buy a couple tubes of liquid nails and had to waste half a day dealing with that! And when I am buying 5 1/2 inches wide it shouldn't be 5 3/8 or 5 1/4, or when it supposed to be a certain thickness I get too thick or too thin, and of course when I'm buying 6' boards and some are 1/4" short. It throws all my calculations off and I'm forced to drive all the way back to pick up 2 or 3 boards because someone at the sawmill hasn't checked the blades or measurements in a while. Not to mention that it makes my project look like a 15 year old did it. I wouldn't mind if you could switch them out, but alas, no returns and no picking, unlike Lowe's or Home Depot. I wonder now if saving 30 cents per board was worth the hassle. And a few of the tools were overpriced compared to other places. I have a nagging suspicion that damaged boards end up as particle boards, although I could be wrong. So my point is this: being told that you're going to get what we give you is just bad business in a competitive market. Enough said. Wait! I just discovered something else. If I hadn't measured 3 times before I cut, I would had another 15 boards that would have been 1/4" shorter. Thanks MG for making my job harder and longer than it needed to be. I don't need polite employees. You can be rude to me, as long as what you're selling me correct. That's for the dummy on yellow pages reviews.
