  I can't say enough good things about Mecklenburg Roofing. They are so quick to respond, regardless of what type of repairs are needed or what questions we may have. I highly recommend this company to anyone in need of new roofs, repairs or gutter cleaning. I've used them at two different properties now and you can't beat the reliability of the team and work.

  Calloway Village HOA

  The Townhomes of Calloway Village selected Mecklenburg Roofing (MR) to replace the roofs, gutters and downspouts of our 87-unit townhome community in 2019. Within 6 months of project completion, homes began experiencing roof leaks resulting in interior ceiling stains. During the period covered and continuing about 6 months after MR’s 1-year warranty (roof workmanship warranties often offer coverage for 2 to 10 years!) expired, some of these problems were corrected but new problems continued to be reported. We promptly informed MR about these problems since we understood their warranty would only be valid and applicable if we used MR for any warranty repair issues. Then MR began to assert that the water intrusion was caused by siding issues even though the siding had not been disturbed in 14 years except during MR’s roof replacement work. So, we had an independent roofing and siding contractor inspect these roofs at our expense. He confirmed the water intrusion was a direct result of various roof/flashing installation/sealing issues which occurred during roof replacement. We understand the minimal 1-year warranty MR provided has expired and we understand we cannot expect MR to continue to make gratis repairs forever. However, South Carolina recognizes a 3-year statute of limitations for claims of damage to real property arising from a contractor’s failure to perform at a generally acceptable level of quality. Also, MR is responsible for holding its sub-contractors to work that is sufficiently free of any major defects and which does not result in damage to real property – such as we have experienced. Based on this implied warranty of good workmanship, we sent a letter to MR September 30, 2021 offering to hold MR harmless for similar problems in the future if MR would just complete repairs to the 5 homes previously reported to MR. MR failed to respond to this correspondence, so we filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau. MR chose not to respond to the Better Business Bureau, either.

  These 5 stars are a joke .This company was hired to replace 88 Townhome roofs..After completion over 1/3 of our homes had leaks with damage to ceilings and walls . After contacting the mecklandburg roofing company multiple times as we’ll as the BBB they refused to come back and fix there shoddy work. It’s been a nightmare, do not hire this company !!!
