  I love this product. Love the company even more! Best customer service I have ever received. We researched this project for several years before choosing Magnolia. Not because of their proximity (<1 hour away), but for the quality of their materials and workmanship. Many of the pieces are made in-house (visited their showroom and got to watch manufacturing in progress). They have displays of different configurations to help in making choices, and were available during the entire visit to answer all questions. Communications were outstanding. They checked all measurements and details with me, including drawings with dimensions, choices of materials, color, etc., before starting the order. I chose to do this project myself (am I crazy?)and they provided cell phone numbers and said I could call anytime. This turned out to be true. I called once at 8:30 PM on a Sunday evening and they answered. They feel if a customer is calling that late it had to be important. If there was no answer when I called they always returned calls within 10 minutes. Betty and Ray were very kind and patient in guiding me through issues encountered during construction. They even had one of their installers (Terry) stop by while in the area to help answer questions directly. I could not have asked for better customer service, and this review only covers the highlights of their assistance. The pictures are the result of my doing 100% of installing the ceiling and screens under a 12x24 ft deck (OK, 99.99% - my brother-in-law cut a 4" piece of concrete). Bottom line - If I can do it, so can you! I have a few tips: 1. If you DIY - two people could do this in less than 1/4 the time it took me. The time spent walking up and down the scaffold to measure/cut/fit/trim could be greatly reduced with two people. 2. Take your time. Call the company with any questions, even if you consider them minor or silly. I had one piece backwards and almost messed it up until Betty texted a picture of the correct orientation. 3. This is the most important step before starting - MAKE SURE YOUR 4X4 SUPPORT POSTS ARE PERFECTLY SQUARE. If not, invest in new ones, NOT pressure-treated, which have a tendency to twist and warp over time. Cedar, oak or non-PT pine - installed on concrete footers - are better choices. Ignoring this step may create problems in trying to fit your screen frames tight and square. Is there room for improvement by the company? Certainly. Some minor updates to the installation video, additional videos for installing screens and doors would be nice, but these are suggestions not complaints, and certainly not deal-breakers if you DIY. I would tackle this project again (but with a second person!).

  I just finished my second install of a Magnolia Underdeck, this time for my son in Jeanette, PA. Out of five competing estimates, theirs was by far the best. The parts arrived in secure packing, in perfect condition via Dominion Freight. All parts were labeled to match our jointly developed diagram for easy identification. I set up my laptop and followed their clear, step-by-step video to guide the install. I put up a 300 sq. ft. ceiling-drain in two days with only occasional help from my son. He had a leaky, dank pad beneath a second story deck. He now has a dry, secure haven from Pennsylvania weather, thanks to Magnolia Underdecks!

  We had Magnolia install our underdeck about 2 years ago and it still looks great and is performing well. We were very impressed with the professionalism, knowledge and craftsmanship of the person who installed our underdeck. The price was affordable, it was installed quickly and we get a lot of compliments on it. They even offer a cleaning service at a very affordable price. We will be using them again next time we need an underdeck installed. It has been worth every penny to us, now we can lounge under the deck, in the shade, and watch our guests swim in the pool. Five + stars!
